It's a bit ridiculous that they make these events so heavy that the competitors cannot even do the job they came for and end up getting hurt.

The Arnold prides itself on being the heaviest show on Earth. Clearly some people CAN do the job because the event winners do the job and then some.
@TheFingolito2 жыл бұрын
@@tylerberg9711 they have raised the bar each year, it's just too heavy if only 1-2 persons in each even can actually perform it and in one event you have a guy who gets seriously injured.

@@TheFingolito well okay, but that was not the events fault. I think last wsm they had a max log too and nobody got serious injuries.
@TheFingolito2 жыл бұрын
@@seife41 i think they should aim for reps instead of max weight, if 90% of the competitors cannot even get through the event then it needs to be returned to a lower weight. How did they even qualify if i.e one-arm press, most guys couldn't even do 1. Same with the carry.
@AlejandroSanchez-pl6jw2 жыл бұрын
@@TheFingolito Arnold’s is the heaviest comp. if you don’t want to do the Arnold’s , don’t bother calling yourself a strongman. each comp will test you differently. Arnold’s (and Shaw classic) is about testing what they believe is brute strength. Arnold’s will expose your weaknesses. Injuries happen no matter what. It’s unfortunate what happened to JF, but I guarantee he wouldn’t change the Arnold’s
