I can't quite explain why, but of all the pre-Eternal Blue songs, I find myself listening to this song more than any of the others. I just really really love this song.

I find each era of Spiritbox has me when I'm in different moods. Like their new stuff is so upbeat, which I also love.

Completely agree. I love the three new ones. Didn’t like sew me up that much on first listen and after hearing it over and over and hearing all that’s going on and the guitar tone, now I love it!

You're right that this was "the" Spiritbox song back in the day. I discovered them in mid-2019, which was when they released the Mara Effect live performance and also Belcarra, both of which then became the reference Spiritbox performances. For another old gem, you could check out The Beauty of Suffering. It's still a banger, and Courtney also has a flawless one-take of that, because of course she does.

This was the first song I ever heard from Spiritbox back in 2018 when I discovered them. Still my favorite song of all time. I definitely missed this sound in eternal blue and think they rediscovered in in fear of fear with ultraviolet and too close too late

This is the song that got me into them back in the early Spiritbox days. It’s got the prog/math-y vibes of their roots but with some of the modern metalcore sound they have today. It’s a great middle ground.

@@Roguenjosh i should have specified the SiriusXM live version (if you're able) as a modern performance/recording of the song making it damn near perfect but the original release is still stellar. Hope you enjoy it!

I first heard Perennial when it came out, the same week as Jinjer's Perennial, having never heard of Spiritbox. My first impression was I didn't think much of it. Little did I know Spiritbox would soon be one of my favourite bands ever. Listening now, I have no idea why I didn't think much of it on 1st listen.
