Thank you for this review. Jacket sounds good but glad you pointed out the wetting out of the trousers outer layer due to the waterproofing being really provided by the drop liner, I have similar issues with motorcycle waterproofs and now think its better to have a laminated waterproof trouser so they don't absorb excess water getting heavy and wet as you described.

The Ventus is a great waterproof, but there is no peak on the hood it just stays flat on your forehead...but some people may prefer that .

There is a peak but it's not a rigid wire. I agree that it's a minor downside. Good comment 👍
