Roland FA-06 workstation - using the vocoder

Hey my mic isn't working for some reason. I have the Shure SM58, the A85F, plug that into the back, have the switch on mic, have the gain about half, but the mic creates no input. Any ideas? Could it be the normal chord I'm using from mic to A85F?

You need to TEST each piece .... first the mic with it's normal chord plugged direct into a mixing board... do you get sound ?..... then the mic plugged into A85F and that plugged into a guitar amp (or the Hi-Z unbalanced input of your mixing desk)..... still got sound ? ... then your are sure about the Shure .... then you can troubleshoot the Fa-06 .... let me know when you ready for that part of the program 🙂

Stupid me, I figured it out. The input level inside the settings was 0, changed it to 127 and we're golden. Thank you so much for your videos, you're the man. Also I like your accent

YES..... the ONLY difference between the FA-06.... FA-07... and FA-08 .... is the actual keyboard (and case size) ..... the electronics is identical.... best wishes 🙂

When I play a song in my piano the voice will be recorded also??? I just bought a roland fa 06 but I don't know anything about it (Beginner)

voice has to be recorded as audio ..... piano playing can be recorded as EITHER audio or MIDI data..... with the FA-06, the only way to record audio is to the sample pads OR use an external DAW on a computer connected with the USB cable...... so you have TWO CHOICE ..... either use your FA-06 with computer + DAW or record both piano audio and voice together into one of the sample pads (in which case you can just press the relevant sample button to play it back).... I have videos for both cases ...... to the sample pad, kzbin.info/www/bejne/o5jKlIiElqqYeZI and... to the DAW... kzbin.info/www/bejne/o5e6pqyYbL2tf6c ...... but I can see the need for yet another video because in the first one I did not record the keyboard at the same time (which is perfectly doable) and in the second video I did not record voice (which is also perfectly easy to do) .... I will continue to make MORE videos for your FA-06 ..... please subscribe (if you have not done so already) ..... and also watch through the 38 videos already in my Playlist for FA-06 to learn about other unique features of this keyboard ..... it seems difficult to beginners.... but I am dedicated to making that easier for you.... and thanks for your comment.

Once the channel grows to a certain size .... I will start live chat sessions , I want to interact with my subscribers in real time ...... but even though currently 3.8K , only a small fraction of these subs are dedicated to the ENTIRE channel (because many are there for specific reason.... just a certain type of synth or the HP50G calculator or the electronics projects or theory)....... once I have enough people interested in ANY topic then we can start weekly LIVE event..... do not want to announce LIVE event and have just a couple people show up...... works better when there is a dedicated following..... so hopefully I can get another thousand subscribers before December and hopefully they will be people who love the DIVERSITY of content that is on channel..... thanks for your continued support 😊

It's like a CHICKEN .... the same ORIFICE is used for more than one function..... plug in the GUITAR ... OR plug in the MICROPHONE into the same HOLE ...... what more can I say ? 😊
