Who under rates it? Have you seen prices? 😛 It's a very highly rated and regarded synth for sure. Just gets overlooked by the 8... Which is fair I guess. Something about this is more alluring though!

@@ComposerMichaelDow it goes farther than thz 8 in any domain and should really be seen as a nive improvement over the jupiter series. I MUST find a way to add 2 voices back in there

I always wanted a Jupiter 6 at the time, I thought the Jupiter 8 was ugly. This sounds exactly how I imagined it would. I have a Rev4 MKS80 , though the heritage is similar, this is definitely a different flava. Fantastic track and sounds. hats off.

Your vids are always so amazing, rimela. When I'm curious about another synth I know that if you've demoed it I'm going to hear the very best it has to offer. I see your process in Ableton, do you do all your sequencing in Ableton too? How does the process start out like that? Your sequences are amazing.

Hi Daniel, thanks for your nice comments and question: for the Jupiter-6 demo I did all midi sequencing in Ableton. For older synths (with gate/cv) I use analogue sequencers as well. Usually while tweaking sounds or setting up sequences ideas emerge for tracks. Though, last two vids (dx7 and matrix-6) I spent programming sounds for several nights before I came up with song ideas, so depending on programming interface the process may differ. But, it’s an on the fly process, most of the time.

I consider my JP-6 a polyphonic SH-101 with band pass capability, and the ability to invert the envelopes. All of this is good stuff.
