Great stuff. I’ve just got this and the tb03 and tr08, so the next project is a home brew version of exactly this track! Thanks!

Since 1 year youtube is proposing these oldschool house video's (detroit, chicago, belgian newbeat, uk house)...i discover more and more and really like your video's. Got the boutique tb03 and after this video i am seriously considering buying this sh-01a. Sounds so much better than the recycled 'music' we hear nowadays

Great tutorial. I was going through this using the TAL Bassline-101 VST and noticed the triangle LFO shape was missing. After a lot of searching to find an SH-101 manual online (nearly all in Japanese) I realised that the original SH-101 didn't have this. It had the sawtooth, square, random and noise like the TAL emulation.

Hello Traxler Good tutorial again Thank you very much I have a MC202 and I noticed that the sliders not always work. But now I know why. Unfortunately my MIDI to DIN Sync Converter got lost when I moved to my temporary home and back. The reason not to buy a new MIDI to DIN Sync Converter is the SH01a. I think it is better to buy a new boutique than just a converter. But thank you very much. I learned something more and i waiting for your next video. Greetzzz

It’s worth getting the SH-01a if you are into electronic music such as this

When you turn all the oscillator sliders down you can still hear a tone playing. Does the filter on the SH101/SH01 self oscillate with enough resonance? Sounds like that makes up part of the character of the Voodoo Ray sound.

Good video mate and glad you’ve done this, as I’ve been trying to figure it out, as i have the other 2 patterns. I don’t have the same gear but used an RD-8, MS-101 and TT-303. I couldn’t find what the notes were, but tried C#, A#, F# and E which sounded ok, but good to see you’ve worked them out. I then stuck the pad chords from Pacific State just for fun. Where can i find patterns for well known tunes mate, is there anywhere you can recommend? Cheers and keep the vids coming,.

Sustain is a level not a time. Sustain time is however long you press the key.
