@@sebbesdrumbeats2618 Jamen verkligen!

Dude that was absolutely sick!!! I see you have played for quite some time and have honed your skills over the years! I too played many years ago but stopped due to life. You sir! Have inspired me to pick the sticks up again, with renewed vigor to learn!

You know about the Sound kits from drumtec? Or/and Easy/Superior Drummer might be something you'd enjoy. I think you can get much more out of that kit, especially the toms seem lacking to me.

Yeah I've been playing around with EZ Drummer, however I can't get it to work without latency since I wanna hear the drum sounds as I'm playing, not only for recordings. Might try to find a fix at some point, but not right now :p

I had the Yamaha DTX532 before this one, and let me tell you that the TD-17 KVX2 was such a nice step up for me personally. This kit feels nice to play on and I really love the size and feel of the snare. The hi-hat is fine, definitely far ways off and actual hi-hat, however for 99% of what I play Its enough imo. Highly recommend this kit for sure!

Great video mate! I'm considering purchasing this Roland TD17KVX2, but I'm from Brazil and it's very expensive here, a brand new one is around 4k dollars here. But I'll be in the US very soon, do you know if all the set (without boxes) would fit in a 50lb checkin luggage? Thank you!
@bl00ber99
@bl00ber99 Жыл бұрын
Thanka man! I'm not sure, I recieved two boxes (1 pretty big and 1 kinda small) with all the stuff for the drums. I personally highly doubt that you can fit everything inside a 50lb luggage tbh, maybe if you really squeeze it in.

Sick vid! Well done. I¨ve got one question, though. How loud is the kvx2? I'm thinking about upgrading from Yamaha DTX 402. The mesh parts should be more quiet, but I don't know if it works for the bass drum as well? Sorry to bother, I just don't want to irritate my neighbors from bellow. Thanks!
@bl00ber99
@bl00ber99 Жыл бұрын
Thank you! Before this kit I used a Yamaha DTX532K, and I would for sure say that this is abit louder. This is mainly because of the snare rimshot hits I'd say. Cymbals are also slighty louder in my opinion compared to the Yamaha model. However, if you hit the the mesh pads with just the tip of the stick (no rimshot), then it's pretty damn quiet. Lastly the bassdrum seems to be about the same level in terms of volume (I think, not 100% sure about this). If volume is one of you main worries, then this might not be the best kit for that unfortunatetly. It's a wonderful kit though, and perhaps there is some way to lower the overall volume, however, I've not needed to do that since I'm playing in a basement and sound is not really an issue. Hope this helps with your research! :)

@@bl00ber99 Thanks for the reply. I guess mainly the vibrations are the issue, since I'm not in living in the ground floor appartment and I have neighbours underneath me. Yesterday I've tried Roland Noise Eater for drum kick (Yamaha, cause I haven't ordered the KVX yet) and people from downstairs said that its 90% better. So I am now hesitant to either upgrade to full Noise Eater set (pricey as hell but seems to be worth it) or making the tennis ball platform. The room sound does not seem to be much of a limitation with neighbours tbh.
@bl00ber99
@bl00ber99 Жыл бұрын
@@RichKanJr Seems best to start off with the tennis ball platform if you ask me. It'll prob take abit of time and ingenuity (also look abit funny!), but it'll most likely be much cheaper. Noise Eaters are too expensive imo :p

I am not a professional drummer by any standards, but I am looking to buy a new kit. Would you recommend this one? I am More into heavy metal stuff.😅
@bl00ber99
@bl00ber99 Жыл бұрын
Yes for sure! It can take quite a beating if you wanna hit harder, the materials feels nice to play on and the price isn't absolutely ridicolous. I think this kit is a pretty much perfect middle ground, and works great for people who've played for 10+ years and new players! The only change that I've done to it is to use an actual snare stand instead of clamping the snare onto the stand. Oh, and also, I've added one of my old cymbals from my yamaha e-kit aswell, just so you know that you don't get everything in this video when you buy the kit.

@@bl00ber99 thanks so much for the prompt reply. This online store that sells this kit says the hihat stand (and the kick pedal) won't be included. Did you get yours separately too? Sorry for bothering you but I really need some experienced input.
@bl00ber99
@bl00ber99 Жыл бұрын
@@BoundInChains Sorry I completely forgot about that. Yea, usually pedals are not included with the purchase (and if it is, then it's usually a single pedal), I just used my old double pedals when i bought the kit. Also the hi-hat stand was not included aswell, used the hi-hat stand from my acoustic drumset. Although you can prob get a double pedal and hi-hat stand that's pretty decent for maybe like $300-400 new (prob much cheaper if you buy used). If I were you I'd spend abit more on a nicer double pedal rather than a nice hi-hat stand. Hope this helps :)

Hey thanks!, I've changed this kit quite alot since i uploaded this video, however I answered a comment a couple weeks back regarding the sound of the snare: - Nr 36 mahogany snare - Tuned up to +36 - Muffled with tape 2 - Amplified abit over normal aswell (in terms of volume) As for the rest of the pads, I'm not quite sure exactly how they were set up here.

Nice sound! How did you coordinate the recording?
@bl00ber99
@bl00ber99 Жыл бұрын
For this I used the module to record with an SD card for more memory (it can record both your drumming and songs from spotify at the same time). Then i put the SD-card into a USB driver and on to the computer. It honestly not harder than that in order to record at this quality. I was actually kind of shocked at how good it sounds. I coordinated the recording with the soundfile in an editing program just called Clipchamp. You just line em up until they look in sync :p
