The TD-50x empty User Kit sounds great. The TD-50 empty Use Kits sounded flat. I am glad I upgraded.

If I could ask you one more question, I am basically in the boat of fixing to buy my first E drum kit. I can’t play acoustic anymore. If money is not an object what kit would you go with? If you want the best sounds out of the box with the module, but you want the best reliability and quality, I’m sold on the Roland vad 706 for quality but I keep hearing the sounds are not so great out of the module and I know it has some machine gunning on fast rolls What kit would you put together your self if you were wanting the best one out of the box with the highest reliability/quality. Efnote Drumtech Pearl mimic. Etc?????Thank you

This may be a stupid question forgive me. I’m new to E drums, but if I buy one of your samples and download it with the card, will I still be able to EQ those sounds and or add effects in my TD50x module Thank you

Yeah, all of the usual EQ, FX etc options are still available on my kits! I usually recommend using the Copy Menu to create a copy of the kit before editing anything so that you always have an "original" version, just in case!

for the roland td-27 drum module. can I import my own open and closed hi hat samples onto the hi hat and have it open and close with the hi hat pedal like it does with the built in samples.

Unfortunately not 😔 You can import the samples, but there's no way to get them to work that way with the pedal.

@@TheeDrumWorkshop ahhh that's a shame. also. I highly doubt its possible but could you plug a pad into the td-27 and use one layer with the td27 and another layer with another module/ use 2 modules with one pad so basically layering one pad with 2 drum modules.

You can do that if you link one up to the other with MIDI. So you could have a snare sound on Module A being played on the snare pad, use a MIDI cable from the MIDI out of Module A to the MIDI in of Module B and it will also trigger the snare input of Module B (or any other pad if the MIDI notes are set to the same numbers). You would need to combine the audio of both modules to hear them both together, either with the mix in port or a mixer.

The TD-50X now has the ability to turn the snare strainer off on any of the main "acoustic" style snare drums. And yes, I have 3 "snares off" kits as part of the POWERFUL & PUNCHY Pack - kzbin.info/www/bejne/a3bLYoGDptqAi6c - which include real "snares off" samples as layers. When I've released Famous Vol. 1 for the 50X, there will be a Danny Carey "snares off" kit in there too.

Hello, I noticed (xstick) on the upper right hand corner. I have the older TD-50 which I did upgrade. I do not have that (xstick). Can you please let me know what it is? And my upgrade in setup is showing V 1.0. Is there a new version?

Hey. It's nothing to do with an update or upgrade, don't worry! It only appears if you don't have the digital snare plugged in - it's a cross-stick switch button for use with analogue snare pads to enable cross-stick mode. The digital snare doesn't require this because it has cross-stick detection built in. I didn't have any pads plugged in when I made the video, that will be why it's showing up.
