Just get my new canon lens 50mm 1.4 and recorded a song for my favorite band! As you noticed ... the audio sucks because i recorded directly to the microphone input the audio of the sound module. I recorded the song several times to get different angles ... maybe next time i will do it better ... :D

Ha! Looks like the TD30Ks finally met their match! I've heard all different kinds of drummers playing in completely different styles and so far, the Roland TD30Ks have been able to keep up with them. So much so that I've been completely impressed and amazed at how far electronic drums have come in the past decade. Until now... Listening to this it is clear that they simply cannot keep up. Amazing drumming by the way. I've been playing for nearly 30 years and I've always had a deep respect for this style of percise and quite strenuous drumming. Not onl;y does it take serious musical ability and concentration, it actually takes a hefty toll on your stamina! Anyway, the Rolands have finally met their match and I am confident in saying that some drumming styles simply cannot be reproduced effectively on electronic kits - or should I say, non-acoustic kits. I can actually hear the power and strength of his playing being restrained within the boundaries of the kits parameters. Don't get me wrong, the Roland TD30KVs are amazing drums and I would absolutely LOVE to have a kit of my own in my house, but for some drummers; those very few, the digital just can't keep the pace. Those who have that unique and amazing ability to strike with such force yet still produce a graceful and melodic sound. So many others terrible bashing and pounding yields nothing more than a stomach ache in your ears; however, when done correctly as it was here, it can be something amazing. Cheers!

Nice Cover! You audio seems to have the same issues I had a while back. I found if I record the performance as a pattern, I could play the pattern back and adjust the mix with the faders on the module to get better sound. Also, if you are playing the song with the MP3 playing off the USB you will get that fade in and out of the sound. For some reason the module can not process all the sound and make it clean. I take the song and my performance as separate tracks and layer them in audacity. I adjust the balance of the mix and save it as an mp3. This can then be layered with your video in whatever program you use. Its a bit of a pain to do, but you get pretty good audio this way.

Awesome dude! This kit is just blowing my mind now. I have a Yamaha DTXtreme IIs. It's old, but it still makes a lot of the "new" kits look like crap. This Roland though blows my kit away. I also love the wood grain wraps you have with the toms here. Time to start saving up. I must have this kit.

I must say you play quite wonderfully. And I can see that much work goes into playing this style. Even though I no longer 'play out', I am interested in the TD-30KV module/set. This electronic set certainly seems to be one that could be used 'playing out' without reservation at all. -->I am coming from a TD-8 which I thought was not too bad. -->I can hear that much in the way of advances have occurred Thanks for the post!!

I had the chance to play one of these today, and was surprised just how much like an acoustic they are. I'm really tempted to buy one, because I can't have loud drums because of neighbors etc. Can you honestly learn how to play this set (td30kv), and it'd be easily transferrable to a real kit?
@alexvar93
@alexvar93 10 жыл бұрын
While I havent played on a roland kit with mesh heads for a long period of time, I do have a yamaha with rubber pads. In the end, as long as you keep your hands moving I dont think you should have trouble transferring between the two. I did notice that the mesh heads were very responsive and so you dont have to play very hard. Just be careful and make sure to practice with a pillow or incorporate some full out playing so you dont lose the "muscle memory" with the larger muscle groups while playing.

This is a great set. and a great player. but the toms on electro sets never sound quite right to me. They don't get the stroke blend right. (when a drum head is already been hit and is still ringing and you hit it again you don't get the exact same sound as the first hit)
