excellent narration and (speaking as a Briton) perfect accents achieved.

Thanks for your kind comment, but I can't take any credit for the narration. I found the stories online and downloaded them before they were removed by KZbin.

Roland Wieffering in that case, thanks for being on the ball 🥳. they’re a real gem. 🙏

C.A.S. really likes ghouls, tombs, and corpses in his horror.

i love the story and CAS but what always makes me laugh is that after they fumble the confrontation, that they were armed and prepared for and still managed to fail so badly that the creature ran away in part due to feelings of secondary embarrassment for them. Then for round two, they forgot to bring the guns and arm themselves with some matches and one wet stick. the creature is so powerful it easily broke through the vault door of the crypt and they bring an old man armed with some tiny matches and a wet stick for the guy who faints when confronted by bad smells.

I got absorbed and forgot to comment, during the previous narrations. It was not well done of me, i apologise. Most of the playlist is new to me ,some are ..old friends i'm happy to listen to again.

So we're to assume the creature uh, had it's way with the seemingly dead wife? That's pretty daring for the time of the stories writing...and to play logical wet blanket why didn't someone shore up the wall? If the monster isn't active during the day get some workmen to nail up more wood? Lol.

Beautiful prose. Writers today can't match it. Stephen King et al, listen and learn.

Indeed, I agree completely. Nowadays writers could learn a trick or two of CAS...

So… just move the body? 🤔

Really unsure about this particular CAS narrator. The fellow is somehow robotic unless he's doing a character, then he's good. It's like he's overly concerned with enunciation rather than tone and rhythm.

Okay, now I see why writer's advice obsesses so much over adverbs... I mean it's really spooky, but it's more than a bit oversupplied with modifiers. Just sayin'.
