Hi I was diagnosed with PD in 2020. In looking back I now know why I couldn’t stand up straight after getting off my bike during Ironman Canada in 1998. Despite being 105 degrees I finished in 10:38. I’ve done a total of 18 Ironmans and many other races throughout the years. Now four years after my diagnosis I lead an active life including triathlon, skiing, hitting the gym and I still play hockey scoring my share of goals. All of this while being on no drugs. I’ll be 60 in June. I have a vo2 max of 50. Excercise has saved my quality of life. I do between 7 and 10 hours per week. Keep spreading the word Doctor!
