Rolex GMT Master II 116710BLNR AKA The Rolex Batman

I did film this one quite a while ago. I was somewhat shortly out of the hospital from brain surgery (my hair is back to normal now ) and the GMT hand was supposed to be set 5 hours ahead. It is set correctly now. I’m doing better. I have a few things more to say about this particular watch to say in future videos.

It's nickname is the Batgirl though. Don't let the nickname bother you. We're not kids. We're watch hobbyists. You can get that watch on the oyster bracelet now, which is amazing. I don't like it on the jubilee, personally. The thinner lugs are better, I think. So is the new movement. I may consider getting the updated version. We'll see.

The 2021 TT Sub is now worth more but I didn't trade it for the cash. This was exactly what I wanted for a very long time and boom. It's still immaculate.

Nice. The Sub is my all-time favorite Rolex SS sports watch, but the GMT Master II is a close second. The Batman being my favorite of the the modern GMT Master IIs.

Congrats! I also own a 2017 Batman that I bought from an AD in the Bay Area. It was my first Rolex so I don’t ever see myself selling. One thing I don’t like about it is that blue GMT hand bc as you mentioned it’s nearly camouflaged. It’s very hard to see against the black dial which I view as a design flaw.
