This is me unboxing the kit, setting it up and using nothing more than the standar stuff that comes with garageband to make a loop.
I think the result is pretty great and the overall feeling of using something that's this easy to use is nothing short from great.

Hey accurate! I thing roli makes really cool gear. I got the lightpad and I'm enjoying it. It's pretty different compared to other midi controller, but I a good kind of way. Sure you have to get used to it, but it offer you many possibilities. The equator Software is awesome, too. Did you ever considered, using the seaboard/lightpad together with pigments? Could be a good way to come up with interesting new sounds. Nice video by the way. Peace!

Nice interface if you can get into that keyboard but I wasn't too crazy about the sound set. Was wondering: do you systematically turn down the low end of the bass whatever platform you're working on? Is this to leave room for the bass drum? Does it work? I'm strugglingg with that a bit these days.

Rechargeable batteries in each block, MDE 5D of expressive sound, software and expandable with a case the engineering on something like this was not cheap I honestly think 600 is pretty reasonable for what your getting.

I got a arturia Keystep, for my DAW, midi synth chain and modular and I would like to get the Seaboard to control my modular eurorack with my MPE midi to cv module. Was wondering if would the seaboard be a good complete substitute of the traditional midi keyboard like Keystep?Or owuld you keep both keystep and seabord for keyboard control?

I'm thinking about going from PC to the new Mac Mini i7, but I've read twice now that there's something buggy with the latency on the 2018 Macs. Even users with good RME cards seem to have problems. Typical, when I'm finally almost convinced to try. I mean I really really hate itunes.

How are you recording these video? Like how are you recording your audio when in the daw? And recording your talk over.

This really bugged me for awhile as well. I figured it out over the summer. I use OBS/Streamlabs. You'll need either Voice Meter Banana (I use the virtual audio cable) both are free. The "cable" is the best imo. The cable sets in your playback recording devices (after downloading) system tray. Make sure they are enabled. Then in your daw go to preferences (I use Windows) There are other choices but I use Windows mme (Audio interface) And set it up that way in OBS properties Make sure Asio is off. In OBS Advanced Properties the make sure desktop audio and Aux audio are set to Monitor and Output boxes are ticked. Hope that helps

That's the usual criticism and it's unfair, especially for guys like this. First, we all use products and need to find out about them. Second, the guy is trying to be a music professional, why shouldn't equipment companies sponsor him to whatever extent? Third, if you consider advertising as annoying in general (as I do), these devices are not dumbing-down devices, they help people make music, elevating the mind and keeping us out of trouble, so you could think of the industry as a kinder/cooler industruy than, say, consumer electronics as a whole. Fourth, in everyone of these videos, you learn about methodology that's applicable to other products and you learn something about music itself. So the videos are primarily instructional and the sponsoring and the fact that he can't really review a product and say it's total shit is fair enough. I absolutely detest unboxing videos but I also understand the guy has decided to put it in to help his views. These guys, especially the good ones with natural ability to teach, are providing a free service, that's whey they deserve both the corporate sponsoring and the fan donations, and why "product placement" is actually not what's going on here. It's a review after all,

But really product placement is what u describe, like when the program has nothing to do with the product and the product is thrown in your face. Here the program ia overtly about the product, not "placed". It's a 50% review and 50% home production tutorial
