New sub here. Excellent BRIEF review! Many KZbinrs would have stretched this into an unnecessary 35 minute review. You did a thorough review with no fluff, thank you! Looking forward to viewing your other content.

I bought the Amazon one to try out the concept. I’m not really used to running an IFAK in the lumbar position so I thought I’d buy the cheaper one and if I like it and it ends up getting worn out I’ll upgrade to the roll 1.
@Keep_It_Loaded19 күн бұрын
Yeah, $20 made it easier for me to try out. I think I'm liking it more on a Chest Rig so far. Less bounce than a Dangler when running and easier when in the prone.

i'm trying out the WYNEX roll. Been using mini chest rig of theirs for security. good stitching, zippers and velcro. dig it

Great comparison! I will buy American even if its a little more expensive but in instances like this on a lower use item that is 4x cheaper than the alternative, its great to know which Amazon stuff is junk and which is not.

Thank you. Yeah, I couldn't pass trying it out, considering how much cheaper it is

I have mine absolutely stuffed to the gills. Four rolls of gauze, 6" olaes ETB, NPA, gloves, an entire roll of 2" medical tape (flat packed), chest seals, casualty card. It barely closes but it all fits.

Damn....., nice
@3vil3lvis18 күн бұрын
That is a lot of medical for a small roll. If you were going to update it consider taking out some of the gauze and replacing it with a Decompression Needle for Tension Pneumothorax, Couple Tegaderm bandages (wafer thin), provodine wipes, benadryn tablets, and ibuprofen tablets.

You let someone else issue you aspirin? That's one way to go.

I have no experience with this specific item, but I've bought several of the wynex pouches. I can't say how long they will last but the materials, stitching and construction seem to rival the Gucci brands for much less cost.

A 1st for me, and I look forward to seeing how the 1st few years work out. I'm definitely impressed so far.

Former Navy HM3. I have to say I'm not a fan of either device, they both appear to be susceptible to failing under hard use. I prefer the smaller IFAK type items from Dark Angel or NAR. Both are pricey, and those on a budget might consider a 2 AR mag pouch. You can segregate items with zip loc bags or other items.

Fellow former HM3. I’ve been looking at something like this to wear out and about, and wearing an ifak during my day to day would be odd now. Currently, I’m filling pockets with Stop The Bleed stuff.

@@FFSteveEMTI imagine this device will work under ordinary conditions, I have a preference for things that are foolproof.
@FFSteveEMT11 күн бұрын
@ as do I, I just don’t think carrying a whole ifak while wearing a t shirt and blue jeans, or scrubs, would be too convenient or practical. I would also stand out too much.

@@FFSteveEMT I don't have any qualms about standing out, if someone asks I tell them I'm prepared to save lives. Then I ask, why aren't you?

Great short product review. Are these pieces of kit meant to be used to store contents for a IFAK/P(Personal)FAK or a Trauma Kit? I am interested to know this since I'm a Range Safety Officer at my Gun Club. I'm also trained in Standard First Aid with CPR and AED for the work force. I typically have a large First Aid Kit that I carry with my range gear and in my vehicle. I'm looking for something like this to make a Trauma Kit for gunshot wounds and the like. I'm also interested in what you would recommend to put in a Trauma Kit for gunshot wounds and severe bleeding. Thanks for the informative video. You got me subscribed!

Promoted primarily as an IFAK, but can be used however you like. I also carry med in my Range bag and have a full CLS bag in my vehicle. In the video, you can see what I put in mine. Not in the medical field nor have I ever been. But..... what I'd recommend for "gun shot wounds"? Cell phone and or radio. Coms to call for help. Head Lamp, TQ, Hi-Fin, QuickClot, ETD, Compressed Gauze, and Shears.

@ I’ve gotten some of their products while back and still really haven’t had any problems with them yet. Maybe I haven’t abused them good enough, but they seem to work as a budget option.
@MJFacas13 күн бұрын
I have both and can't see any practicable difference. That said, I have not checked these for IR reflectivity which is sometimes and issue with the knock off Chinese versions. The Roll 1 is Berry compliant and made in the USA. That's no guarantee of quaility but at least you are helping America more.
