I miss the low light from the old dynamic lighting. It was way more obvious that it was low light. This new low light is barely indistinguishable from bright light.

Yeah, it's really bright around the token, and barely darker a square away.

Yeah, this doesn't work for me in 2021. I recreate all the settings as shown, it works when I'm looking at it, then is gone when I try a 2nd time. And forget about copy paste to save doing them all by hand. That doesn't work either.

thats the problem that i am having right now.... i cant get any DL torches to work the way theyre supposed to

@@mattl211 Sounds like you may be placing the light on the wrong layer. It does this to me too if I try to place it on the "map" layer instead of the light or token layers

But how do we, as GMs light our maps now that light sources on the dynamic lighting and map layers are no longer visible to players? Maybe I do not want to have a bunch of immersion breaking tokens crowding the token layer and want light sources to not have an evident token.
@Roll20App4 жыл бұрын
You can have light sources on the Map and Dynamic Lighting layers! If you have something emitting bright light or low light on those layers, as long as your players have vision, they'll be able to see the light and not the token.

@@Roll20App how can we reliably drag and drop those tokens from our journal page with those lighting settings intact every time? it looks to me like i have to make those setting each time i want to use it on a different page.
@Roll20App4 жыл бұрын
@@quintonmather5874 Make sure you set your token up on the VTT with all the lighting and other settings you want, THEN save it as default token on the character sheet. That should ensure that they remain intact regardless of which page you drop them to.
