Was wondering about bell tails..didnt even think about bears. But we hunt in an area of south Georgia full of them so mostly leave them be and they do the same.

Yes. I now have a black bear on my property, in Oct. he looked to be a 2 year old, a 3 year old now. The dog has told him off a few times, I've seen him twice, and got 3 vid clips of him, 2 on a trail camera, once with the hand held camera. If he leaves the dog alone all should be fine, but I've carried my pistol once after I saw the bear at 5:13am in the daylight and I was out there a couple hours later..

@@tdwz1652 I'd have to get a hunting license, haven't had one in LOTS of years, and have to wait until fall. Never got a bear, probably wouldn't know how to dress it out. lol But my neighbor would, he's older than me and hasn't hunted in a couple/few years. The game dept knows it's there because in Oct. I asked if they could transport it elsewhere before it became a problem bear. If it does become a problem I'll dispatch it with prejudice, if it comes after my dog. My dog has warned it off about 6 times between Oct and the other day. Oh ya, I do have a great firearm for bear, a Marlin .444.

@@jelly7310 Do you mean when they drove for several hours to pull out a vehicle , that cost Ed about $200 over 40 years ago ? That wasn`t a recovery , so much as manufactured You Tube content .By the time they are finished with that project , there won`t be 5 % of the original left . The body work done by Robbie Layton alone ,would have cost many thousands if costed and charged for the actual work , without any of the work done by Paul Cox or Matt Wetzel .

@@jelly7310 that was epic, you got that right. But to see an old time Moab locals who grew up drinking this water do this in this territory is an entirely different level. It's cowboy level. Great job as usual. Did you know on the RAM truck, you can pull the emergency key out of the FOB or if it's the other style key with the chip on the end and go to a hardware store and have a key cut to hide under your truck? I believe the blank key you need is a Y157 or a Y159. I used to have RAM trucks and I did that so I could lock the ignition key in the truck and had a door key to unlock it and let others be able to get my truck if I wasn't around.

Doesn't help if the fob was under water. Don't ask. And you can make your own manual key out of that plastic they seal your stuff at St walmerch trace n shape n file. All you need is a photograph of the key next to a quarter n some tape. ;-)

My wife and I love southern Utah! We've spent most of our time (so far...) in the Bryce Canyon, Escalante area (Driving from Escalante, across the Escalante Plateau for 70 miles, and then coming down the Kelly Grade was an Epic day!) Everywhere we went, everywhere, there were cat prints on the ground. B I G cat prints... As big as my hand, spread out. Having had cats, albeit scaled down versions, I have a clue as to how they hunt. So I walked behind my wife and spent a fair amount of time walking backwards, facing back up our trail.... I had my G26 and a Cold Steel Recon Scout. (Bowies are the bestest blade ever) If a cat is on someone else, angles/penetration distance can be an issue with a firearm. So that's what the Recon Scout is for. I know exactly how much the bowie will penetrate. The chances of seeing a painter are slim, and getting attacked by one even slimmer, but if you do, it will be quick, a surprise, and the cat will prolly be desperate. Next visit will be over in the Moab region.

I am too old to twist them these days, but I have a set of SK wrenches and sockets from the early 60s. My son uses them now and if he takes care of them my grandson will use them one day. Cheers from the left edge of Canada. I get great satisfaction watching good people doing good things. Keep it up. ~ulrich
