Thanks for all of your time and effort. This video took this 61 year old man back to the 1970’s and an F500 Ford with a 550 Holmes Split Boom wrecker body. Doing recoveries in the high Sierra. After 46 years as a welder fabricator and fitter along with a couple serious on the job injuries. Your videos are about the closest I can get to the past great times. Forever thankful to you and your awesome crew, can’t thank you enough!!!

I'm 79-1/2 now, and reliving the crap I used to do in the 60s and 70s, and yes even into the 80s and 90s.... what? the 90s are now 30 years ago? Where in the hell has the time gone??? Never thought, I would be a KZbin viewer, not ever... and now, it is a priority each morning to start my day.

@@nzsaltflatsracer8054 My ability to continue working ended in a violent incident, when a Semi tractor Bobtail, had a brake failure, RR wheel ABS link was left undone, Driver slammed on the brakes hard, the bobtail semi did a 90* left turn and merged me and my motorcycle into the center Median wall... my employer kept me on the job for 18 months so that I could get my 80 points of Seniority and Time in Service, retired me at 67 permanently. :( I was not ready to quit, but my body no longer obeys what I want it to do.

Would love to hear some of the stories you could tell ,everyday I think of a new question I wish I could ask my grandfather . he was a ww2 vet of the 5th infantry division, and was on a railroad recovery crew for 40 years setting railcars and engine's back on track . If you got grandkids I hope they see you as the hero I seen mine as.

Rory, sometimes it's not that a person knows more, but that they might have a little different perspective on the task at hand. 😎 A half a century ago, as a rookie machinist-die repairman, if I had a problem, I would ask 3 or 4 different people what they would do. I always got 3 or 4 different answers, so I just put them all together and used the parts I thought made the most sense. Half a century!😱
@johnme70492 жыл бұрын
