Marcelo is a clinical genius, fascinating to watch and is a big reason why i took up jiu jitsu. Thank you my man.

MG just keeps holding the 2 on 1 on Jake's right arm and doing the same butterfly sweep to get the back. Its amazing how he imposes his game on someone without needing to change up. LOL ~ Obviously Steven Segal taught MG well.

His elbow escape is so slick. Marcelo you are the man. Humble best smile and worlds nice jujitsu guy.

is anyone else in awe at how marcelo pulled the same sweep consistently through the video, and even the same back set up with the trapped arm and rnc? im sure if it was anyone else, jake wouldve been able to stuff it after getting caught with it, but marcelo just imposed his will

My favorite part is seeing how much fun Jake is having while Marcelo runs a clinic on him. I'd have a perma grin too, when I wasn't getting choked.

How awesome was that roll at the end? Very, very nice. What a great opportunity. I hope to be in your shoes one day. I loved the city video shots too. Miss my NYC (some times). Thanks Budo Jake. This is the first time I see any Marcelo Garcia video. I'm about to start some serious studies of his technique thanks to this upload.

Seriously, thanks for making these. I've become a fan of so many BJJ guys and people like Erik Paulson because of the personal tales and the showing of their grappling prowess. Thanks so much! New fan of Marcelo Garcia now.

I dont know what level Budo Jake is and have not seen him roll this is the 1st episode that I have watched (subscribing btw) but it does not matter MG is just amazing. Absoutely the most well rounded BJJ player out there right now. It will be a sad day when he decides it time to start having kids and quites competing. I would love to live close to NYC just to go train w/him every once in a while would be an honor. His students are privilged.

I love the roll at the end. when Marcelo pulls his head back, lol the look of defeat in the victims face, thats the most satisfying part of the role, I feel like i would have toyed with him at that moment to get more joy, like pretending and allowing to drop his head a few times, or just leaving it open to hear moans and grunts, lol, love this video. Please revisit Marcelo and make more videos, (ive seen this years back but watching it again in 2022 now)

funny, how they finish talking about the grip. during the roll I was trying to break his technique down and all I came up with that was out of the ordinary was The Grip and how he must go for it 100% and then take what he gets from it (obviously with vicious execution and skill)

Not all the time of course (Hall, André, Keenan etc) but in general. He's one Dedicated, Smart Cookie of a Phenom! 👍. The Best!, Him and Roger and André....
