I live in Florida, and I really enjoy the roars of the B&Ms here. Sheikra and Montu have great sounds, and Kumba and The Incredible Hulk sound even louder (by design I believe). SeaWorld's B&Ms are also great coasters, but they never stand out for their sounds. Cheetah Hunt at Busch Gardens also plays a whooshing sound effect during the magnetic launches, which seems unique as far as I'm aware. This isn't quite the same as the coaster sounds, but I like how you can hear people's screams echo on Rock n' Rollercoaster. It makes it sound as if there's another train going past you, despite there only being one train allowed at a time.

When the _Mean Streak_ ( rebuilt as _Steel Vengeance_ ) first opened, the wheels were designed to produce a noise that sounded like a jet plane going by. First of all, I love your physics episodes. Second of all, here are some of my favourite coaster sounds: - old B&M roar like on Dragon Khan - Intamin LSM Launch like on Taron and Red Force - Schwarzkopf Loopings like on Psyké Underground (there the sound is even amplified for the rider because it's indoor and it's really freaking loud) - woodies like Troy... I just love the sound of a woodie roaring across its track - lift hills on woodies

I still have never heard a roller coaster sound like the Batman and robin and six flags great adventure. They were louder than any b and m coaster I’ve ever heard. It really was a sound to behold when the coasters launched out the stations.

Powder Keg at silver dollar city has a lot of great sounds. It's an air launch coaster that changes track halfway through and still has a chain lift hill lol.

The great Bear at Hershey always has a great sound. And it is so fitting because it literally sounds like a bear roaring. I remember when I was young and waiting in line for the comet, it would always go through it’s loop right next to the line and would be very intimidating.

i went to kings island with my dad in 2007 and it was a pretty slow day. when we rode vortex (rip) we were literally the only 2 people on the ride and i remember telling my dad, if we don't scream it will be so quiet and it was one of the strangest experiences ive had on a roller coaster

I just LOVE Karacho's silent trains. You can just hear a slight whoosh sound and zero to none roaring. (Also if you'd count flatrides too, the Roaring of a Breakdance No.1 is music to my ears.

Listening to the ominous sound of the Incredible Hulk coaster going through its test runs in the dark of the morning before park opening is one of my favorite things to do while at Universa Orlando. The sound can be heard best from the Royal Pacific Hotel or out front. I've sat and listened to it many times. It seems to be the loudest B&M to me. I thought maybe it was intentional to sound like the roar of the Hulk. Another great vid and I enjoyed it.

Maybe it is intentional, but B&Ms are just loud anyway! Thank you :)

@@coasterbot I absolutely love the sound of a good B&M coaster. The Hulk just happens to be the one I've consciously sat and listened to most. Sort of like the romantic soundtrack to a date with myself. lol

My favourite sounding coaster is Nemesis at Alton Towers as it has this kind of eerie roar. It's as if the Nemesis monster is screaming in pain as you joy ride over him. Also I love the release of air from the pistons in the brake run.
