I first saw that video 6 years ago and for some reason it struck a cord. Today I went roller skating for the first time and fell in love. I read an article about which skates are "best" for each activity and you were consulted by the author of the article. I ordered a pair of Sure Grips. I absolutely adore the video when they are skating……. I love all of the girls but the chick in green is my body type and is legit GOALS!!!! I tried really hard to skate and not have an accident……unfortunately I had a horrific accident and am now unable to skate anymore!!! I’m probably one of the top million views of this video because it makes my heart soar!!!! I am now much much older and married and decided to share this video and my dream goals with my husband and as I’m saying “is that not the hottest thing you’ve ever seen”? I came across a Raspberries song go all the way and found out the video came from this song gold. I cant get over how the choreography goes perfectly with that song too, I commented how it's kinda eerie how they come outta the dark like some sexy rollerskating vampires lol yea I noticed how they were far then came up on cue effortlessly, so original!

I’ve heard Candice speak about this video before but it never gets old and what makes this interview more different than other times is that you ask some from a skaters point of view about things you’d have to be a skater to appreciate fully. I must have been under a rock, because I had only seen this clip in the last twelve months and was amazed by how great it was and watched over and over. This clip explains a lot for me as I was wondering how they made it because it would have been difficult to slightly dangerous skating on a rough road surface.

So amazing video amazing skating and I’m just wondering because it certainly looks like there’s no cuts. I did hear you say skated all night so I don’t know if that means with the technology today they have found a way to make cuts that you can’t see or that it just took all night to get this cake done in its entirety of however long video is??? find an amazing to watch a video like this there isn’t three seconds by three seconds changes in cameras in cuts… it’s quite beautiful and the skating is so smooth. You can really tell how professional they are by how effortless they made skating on such a rough surface/ maintaining speed/ incorporating choreography into their skating look. Truly breathtaking. I can imagine them as sirens emerging from the harkness actually.

yes they do have a treadmill this big it is for the Olympic skaters of speed skate the treadmill goes something like 20 plus plus plus miles an hour you can watch a KZbin video and watch want to be Olympians do their best to really push push themselves to be more agile quicker and stanima

I saw this skating footage not on the video for “Gold” but in a video for the 1980 song “Skateaway” by Dire Straits. Apparently someone inserted the skating footage into it. The skating scenes were beautiful, and though they were not originally intended for the Dire Straits song, they were a perfect fit. So I got curious about who these women were - Candice Heiden, April Corley, and Appelusa McGlynn. Then I found out what happened to Ms. Corley and my heart sank.
