Great tutorial, it's interesting seeing the names of these moves and breaking them down. I got hold of the kizer element 90s a while back and the rocker really does encourage moves like this. I found them quite intuitive after messing about on them for a while I started to think "oh let's try this, let's try that" and it's been great fun. Question: at @1:34 with the forward gazelle your gaze is over your right shoulder but your left leg is leading backwards. I did a workshop yesterday where they said to also look over the shoulder on the side that your leading foot is. What is your stance on this? Thanks for a great video btw!
@Rollerbalding2 жыл бұрын
I personally don't like that tip because it would require you to turn your head all the way around over your left shoulder and create a moment of blindness. The way I do it at 1:34, my eyes never have to look away from the direction I'm headed.

@@bernsahr if you want a great aggressive rockered setup to make it easier I highly recommend the Oysi frames. Or you could run something like 58-60-60-58 in a traditional flat frame. Since skating rockered frames a year or so ago I can't go back, I have to rocker everything now!
@bernsahr3 жыл бұрын
@@chilli-iceolive-abode2447 Oh i found out its possible to do 3-turns without a rocker or at least with only a natural rocker. Its much harder though and you need to go harder on the edges (which is a problem since there is a maximum angle due to your soulplate touching the ground) Unfortunately i have Aeons so Osy frames arent an option :-/

I can do all of these. I thought I was messing around after I rocked my skates accidentally by skating outside so much and religiously rotating my wheels. I didn’t know it was called wizard skating. Cool!
@superbilly2835 ай бұрын
can you do this with 2 wheels rollerblades ?
@Rollerbalding5 ай бұрын
Sort of, but not exactly. You really need middle wheels to have a pivot point in the middle of your foot, especially for one foot moves. There are aggressive skaters who do gazelles on anti-rocker, but it works differently than how it's shown in this video (it's more of a slide than a pivot)
