I’m not a slalom skater but I think a lot of disciplines can learn from and incorporate slalom for finer edge control. Thinking of those next gen hockey players who find videos like these and use it to form subtle new techniques.

hey tiago, just wanted to thank you for you wonderful videos. I live in a very small town in Australia with no skating rink, so I have to practice in my local park. Every time I put on my skates I think of you!. The other day I tried to pull the basic 'balance on one wheel' trick and even though it felt so wrong/incorrect to even attempt, I just kept thinking "hey tiago learned how to skate by just playing around and seeing if he could do things, so I might as well have a go". I also learned how to kneel down and balance on two wheels by ACCIDENT because I was trying to imitate you & your friends from the powerslide vs powerstop video (I had NO IDEA what to do hahaha). Though I haven't got anyone to do social skating with, it's comforting to see others around the globe loving skating and getting involved in the community through KZbin. Thanks so much for your wide variety of videos. You're so friendly and thoughtful! I've only been skating for 1 year so the fact that you've been skating for a few years makes me hope that, if I keep practicing, I'll be just as good one day :) :) :) i had a question for you, if you have time: do you listen to music while you skate - and if so, what?

bro, your channel is spectacular. In America, the passion is dead for this sport, so I've never had people to slalom with. I'm trying to teach myself, and OF COURSE the first thing it goes to is your channel. When I wanted to figure out what skates were the best in the game, you led me to my beloved FR1's, and because of you, I now feel confident that that my new FR3 310's will be right for my urban/suburban environment from a maneuverability and speed standpoint. You're also a great host. So enthusiastic about what I love. You've been a very reliable ambassador for the most underrated sport in the world. Keep it up, dude!

Yesss I needed something like this, its rare to find such a good video that also explains how you need a rockered setup, which took me a while yo realise there was a reason i couldn't turn that well. A question; is rockered setup a must? Also, how much would it ruin stability for travel/speed skating?
