That Woody Woodbury with one skate on and one skate off had me rolling on the floor!

Me too especially when he was running for his life! LOL! Though in fairness Woodberry probably had the stark advantage with one skate off should had taken advantage of that opportunity!

Woodberry was the best. I hated his guts back in the day, which means he did his job beautifully!

Yeah you really don't appreciate other Skaters till long gone. Fortunately Bob Woodberry still around. Though the original Roller Derby we knew sadly not.

I've always been more a fan of Roller Derby vs Games. Though in fairness this was too when Derby appeared to want to fight fire with fire adding a bit of theatrics into their game. Which sadly wasn't needed when you just see the game could rely on it's basics & still have an exciting game to watch! Oh I so miss this today!

He recovered for the most part after an extended stay in a San Francisco hospital, the bill of which was paid by the Bay Area Bombers. Unfortunately, his roller derby career was finished.

When was this game?

Kezar Pavilion. IMO the "Wrigley Field" to watch banked track skating. Every seat minus the post in front of you a decent good seat!
