3:10 Was a good idea for size comparison. Perhaps the owners should consider having a public salvage day, when people can sign a liability release, then go into the demolition site, and take what ever scraps and/or memorabilia they want. The local citizenry would appreciate it, and it would cut down on the cost of hauling away the debris, even if just a little.

There's some kind of certificate or something at the top of the escalators by Macy's that says Rolling Acres on it-I'd snag that for sure...

Poor Bob Muffintop I'm sure his happy office will be missed RIP! I'd really would have liked the "Picnic Place" Sign. I guess I could have hung it in my 3 car garage; it would have probably consumed the better part of the ceiling.

lol I'm afraid he has a lot more than color matching to do! Thanks so much for your documentation! If I were you I'd save those blueprints!

I don't understand what is up with the blueprints. They aren't of the mall itself but just of certain stores and there are like 10 million of them laying around. I found the declining sales reports more interesting... it's like you can see the mall slowly dying month by month!

interesting..... I thought they were of the mall itself. Thanks for your documentation. I guess we should all go to Bob Muffintop's going away relocation party, oh and we can't leave out Mr. Moshpit!

I wonder what they did with the logo and the sign that was on the front of the mall?
@zone47
@zone47 7 жыл бұрын
I think someone grabbed it. I'm surprised the movie cinema letters are still there. I wanted to grab the Pretzel time sign but didn't want to get busted ripping something off even though it was going to be destroyed.

Call the city of Akron. I'm sure you could buy a copy there. I was over by the mall last month, first time in about 10 years. Dawn Franks was there with her drone. She has a great KZbin site about this mall. Hope she is doing Edwin Shaw hospital as it is coming down now.

@zone47

It is the main escalator in the area of the elevator. The other escalator was down by Macys and it was a different type.
