Rolling Ball Sculpture - Three track desktop cn:166

This desktop sculpture features three track paths with loops with four inversions, balls on track, tipping arm and wavy track. It uses 25mm glass marbles and is filmed with Rumba style marbles. It measures 600mm x 400mm x 300mm and is powder coated in matte black.

These look super fun to build but I don't know where to start, what gauge wire do you use and material? I can't even find 10awg stainless steel for a reasonable price haha

I've just stumbled across your channel whilst trying to make something similar as a gift for someone. All your videos and creations are amazing! Do you have an idea how many hours it takes you to build something like this as well as some of you bigger projects?

This would take me a couple of weeks to build. I'm slowly getting faster when it comes to building. The bigger the sculpture, the longer it takes, but not proportionately.

Most of my work, if not all is on a commission basis. This sculpture was sold before it was built. As for price, you'd need to display it the best you possibly can, possibly build a website to showcase your work, build up a portfolio of pieces and see what people are willing to pay. Art is very subjective. Good luck with your sculpture.

I love those iridescent marbles! They look really great and go so well with the matte black tracks. And being so reflective, I love the way they reflect the marbles on the tracks such as at 1:10. Great work. 👍 ... And your wave was much harder to spot this time - I almost missed it! 👋
