I for one think this band is very lucky. They have fantastic music, a big band, and a crowd that SHUTS UP WHEN YOU PLAY! I'm in a high school marching band, but even though we are small, you can hear us when we play. But we sould a lot smaller at half time because no one has respect for all 32 of us that sacrifice our time and efforts to put something on the field. We get ripped on all the time. The WATER BOY had a bigger fanbase then us. If people are listening to this band, they should be glad

It actually annoys me when people are constantly chatting and what not in the crowd; this one is nice and quiet, so everyone can hear. I approve.

You know te band's good when the crowd on te opposite side is quiet, a great sign of respect.

Agreed, its called staggered breathing. unless marked on the sheet, you are supposed to breath anywhere where the rest of your section isnt (except for on a bar line) :)

Everyone is ripping on the crowd and I believe you're all mistaken. This audience loved the 110. They were just quiet and respectful while watching/listening then cheered afterward. It's just not recorded. The section I record from is actually the band's seating and notice that people have filled it in to get a better view of the show.

@alanajo Hi!I'm from Malaysia (that's in Asia, in case you're not familiar with it).. Just wanna comment on how Fantastically-Awesome is the band.. Wish I could watch the band play live..someday!

FYI on the crowd, both sides are Ohio fans. The far side is the public side with the press box, typically an older crowd. The near side is the student section. As you can see in the video, everyone stands during the performances. The 110 primarily plays towards the student section, but does play a song towards the press box side, too. As for the crowd being quiet this day, it was wet and freezing! Oh, and the next song was "The Party Rock Anthem." Wasn't too quiet then. :-)

@BluefireDreamflight5 No, we don't have flutes. Any flute players that want to join usually go with either alto sax or the flag line.

@dolphindreamer90 Excuse me, but I've been with this band for 7 years and I know what I'm talking about. We have conductors on both sides of the field when we do 2 sided shows.

Maybe the crowd was so shocked by how well they played, they weren't cheering. :D
@alanajo13 жыл бұрын
@ninampudi89 I think you misunderstood his comment. He's saying that the crowd seems unimpressed because they wanted to hear older music and instead got a show of current pop songs.

@XBlackNashX not really, it's a respect thing to remain quiet while a band is performing on the field. something you see more at competitions than actual football games, though.

What does the other crowd usually do?
@KellyLynn2010skipper13 жыл бұрын
At most schools they play to the home side. and because of the way they are on the field their sound goes in one directon. The crowd isn't really getting the full effect of the sound.

A little brassy, but nicely done. Also, the crowd is pretty sad. With a strong percussion section such as yours, I'd assume you're either playing to a crowd of zombies or manic-depressives.
