My favorite part about this performance is the fact the Stones told the production team for the super bowl they would never lip sync/fake play. Apparently the bands usually don’t play at the super bowl and Keith said “fuck you, I’m playing.”

I remember watching this Super Bowl game and the halftime show. I was 38 years old then and a diehard Pittsburgh Steelers fan from the 70’s and on. I’m 56 years old now in 2025 and brings back a lot of good memories of the game and loved the Rolling Stone music era. RIP drummer Charlie Watts. Go Steel City.

I remember watching this as a 9 year old kid. I had never heard of The Rolling Stones but after this performance I became a huge fan and I’ve been a Stones fan ever since! I was so lucky with all of the legendary halftime shows growing up

I already listened The Beatles thanks to my dad y I remembered told him “why the Beatles don’t sound like this?” And he was like “well, the Stones were the opposite, obviously they need to sound devilsh” hahaha, and I love the Stones ever since❤

The greatest show on earth. In 1995, they came to Brazil for the Voodoo Lounge tour. My mom went to that concert and stood in the second row. She told me it was epic. When they introduced Charlie, she said everybody started stomping on the ground following the drum beat. Mas, I wish I could be there. I was only 11 at the time. I never got to see them perform live.

I was at super bowl 40 and, while the stones are my fav band, i was there to see the steelers win...i even forget the songs they played bc score was 7-3 at the half, black and gold. Steelers won and saw stone again, my fav team and fav band...one of the best days of my life.

I was probably 9 year old when I saw watched it with my grandpa on TV. My other grandpa was a huge stones fan . Saw them 3 times on the Bigger Bang Tour. Brought me back this huge poster of the guys that was in the beginning of this video. Awesome days.

I was in high school when this happened, not sure if I already liked them before but I loved the performance. I even put it on my PSP and watched it at school! lol well I ended up seeing them live in Levi's stadium 2019 and it was the best show I ever been to. Now I think I will head back to Levi's next month for one more shot.

Her Majesty was 3 years old. We were at her grandparents house watching the game. The halftime show transfixed her, and she copied his moves as well as she could. Now I'm gonna take her to see them in Vegas in 3 weeks.

It's barely noticeable but the show was censored twice. They cut the vocal on "come' in Start Me Up and "cocks" in Rough Justice. "Those are the words that'll curve your spine, grow hair on your hands and bring us Peace Without Honor" - George Carlin.
