Thank you sir for sharing informations about how to center the rotor disk.You helped me about my issues for my YAMAHA TMAX 500 2009 model ,because I chang the front rotors 267mm with bigger rotors (oversize kit 298mm)and now when I brake I feel vibrations and maybe is that the calipers doesn't line with the rotors,so I have to check it.Thank you once again sir 🙂

Do any of you guys know any good sites on replacing GY6 50cc 10 inch 3. 50 rims I'm trying to replace my OEM ones and having a hard time finding better quality Wheels. I've been looking everywhere though for some.?

Im doing this soon. I have been having issues with this. It rubs a bit to much and at certain speeds causes a harmonic vibration... whomp whomp whomp sound. Everyone pay attention to this, I wish I had this months ago!
@RollingWrench4 жыл бұрын
Sounds like your brake caliper is rubbing slightly. Center that sucker up you should be good. I would also deglaze the pads with some light sand paper

No the front tread design looks backwards, but is not

Good info, I always shim with thin washers, equally, any space left over so when tight it dose not pinch the forks so they move smoothly without any binding.

That’s definitely a good thing 👌💯

@RollingWrench Жыл бұрын
No, it should spin freely. Our spacers are designed for our hub. If you don’t have our hub you will need o space it accordingly

Thank you! Ya I will be doing this and pulling the washers. Measuring them and making the spacers solid on both sides. I am strange like that. Both will work just fine. Being a machinist has given me the eye for detail. Makes me respect the details that others put into there build. Once again thank you for doing what you do bro.

Hey Matt Love all the info you put out here so much help to us ppl! I have a 2020 maddog trike. It’s a piece of work. I work in her daily I knew nothing about scooters when I bought it but I’ve pretty much figured everything out from you and a couple other folks here I seem to have tore up the side and spider gears. I’ve searched the internet for over a month. No one seeing to have a clue as to where to get them. Do you have a line or know where I would go to get new spool gears any info greatly appreciated

Matt, have you ever come across pads being to thick for the rotor to fit? I bought an online kit several years ago and the rotor won’t fit the caliper unless I force it.. at that point it’s like having the brakes permanently locked

I noticed the hub you are using has the notches for the speedo gear to fit into, i noticed that its a slightly different color. Is this a piece that can be add? I am using the FLP hub and wish to continue to use the cable driven speedo. Can this be purchased?
@RollingWrench3 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately no :-(. On these wheel you have to use a monkey bike hub. You can’t use the the stock speedo unfortunately:-(
