This is Henry dealing with the pain of losing Joe and feeling guilty about not being dead too. He obviously doesnt get close to people. He lost his best friend, the one person that got him completely and vice versa. I think its one of this quartets best songs Henry bleeds in this one you can see it. I tuned out after they split. Its just not Rollins band without Sim and Chris. I hated to see Andrew go but Melvin is good. The End of Silence is by far the best of the original quartet inmho.

I really appreciate your explanation. Thank you very much. Now it makes sense. I've listened to HR for almost 25 years and didn't really understand him until recently. He is a real voice of reason, reflection, focus and guidance.

i was a freshman in high school, when this came on IFC, i actually saw the tv special. it was one of those watching the sun explode moments, i didn't know why at the time but henry truly is passionate in this one.... come back and watch this atleast once a year. This guy is awesome. He`s genuine, he speaks his mind and sings from his heart. He`s gonna tell you the truth even if you don`t wanna hear it. Some people don`t get it and I can only feel sorry for them, because they will be missing something important. If you`ve never read ,,Catcher in the rye,, ,,On the road,, or ,,Post office,, then you have missed something that could change the way you see and understand things. Same goes with Rollins. So give him some respect, He deserves it. He realy does.

So weird seeing Henry perform with a shirt on! I saw this version of Rollins Band live twice, once in a small club (Slim's in SF) and once at the Greek in Berkeley with Helmet, Primus, and the Melvins. What incredible shows! Then I saw the "Molly Hatchet" Rollins Band... what a terrible disappointment that was.

I love Rollins, I don't care for his rants or his political agenda but man this guy knows music and always finds the best musicians to work around. He's like Ozzy in the way that he doesn't exactly have a great voice or anything but he fit's in perfectly with music regardless. It blows my mind.

It's in reference to the Black Sabbath album that was both Henry and Joe Cole's favorite album by them. Joe Cole was Henry's best friend who was shot and killed in a mugging and Henry barely escaped with his life, the killer also shot at him but he ran and got away. This song is pretty much about Joe Cole and his murder.
