I just love the way you drive through that mountain passes. Leisurely. Not because it's a Rolls, but any car for that matter. Everybody knows what a Rolls or supercar can achieve. I still think an electric drivetrain would suit a Rolls really well, with its effortless torque. If range/battery weight is the hurdle, then use half of the V12 as a range extender. The inline-6 is perfectly balanced and would be more than smooth enough for highway driving. I know a while back Rolls-Royce surveyed their clients and received negative feedback on PHEV, but times have changed and the demographic is younger now. Might be time to revisit.

Actually, if you go back in the history of Rolls Royce, you'd know that it's entire "best car in the world" image is based on transporting important people anywhere in utmost comfort. Back then (100+ yrs ago) even the developed world didn't have paved roads so the Rolls Royce cars had to be capable enough to deal with any and every traversable terrain. It was only a matter of time RR built a SUV. Of all the companies (apart from Land Rover, Toyota and Jeep), RR building a SUV is in line with their history and heritage unlike others who just make SUVs just coz it's in vogue.
