About Cole & Charisma:
Welcome to the official Roll with Cole & Charisma KZbin channel! Since the start of our relationship we've gotten a lot of questions about our experiences as not only an interracial couple, but an interabled one as well. On this channel you can catch us doing travel and adventure vlogs, challenges, our inclusion series, couple first times, music, and so much more! We started this vlog to bring people into our lives, to answer some questions about how we navigate the world, and hopefully raise awareness surrounding accessibility and dating in a wheelchair. You'll quickly see in our episodes that we're all about inclusion and keeping a great attitude no matter your circumstances, so if that's what you're into, you're in the right place!

Seeing lots of questions abut why Sophie didn't alert Charisma when I had fallen over. Sophie is indeed trained to alert/retrieve Charisma, and has done so many, many times. In this instance the door was closed so she was unable to. We also don't encourage her to bark, as we are often in spaces with her where barking would be inappropriate (plus, if Charisma couldn't hear my yell, she couldn't have heard Sophie's bark). We don't want her scratching the door, either, for obvious reasons. Someone also asked if she would be able to help me right myself, and that is definitely something we've tried working with her on. The difficulty is that I'm simply a very large guy, and so righting me can prove difficult for even able-bodied humans, let alone a 50lb dog. Furthermore, without tricep function, it's challenging for me to push myself up off of her back. Sophie does a great job and, in this instance, there was nothing else for her to do. The main service she provides for me is picking things up off the ground, which she does like 50 times a day lol

Me, my wife, and our kids got a twisted/sick laugh out of you falling over and yelling for help. I've been there and done that many times. I'm also a quadriplegic who has flipped over backwards in the house, parking lot, and other places. Once I flipped over in a parking lot and laid there for 15-20 minutes before anyone noticed me. Luckily I haven't been hurt bad. 35 yrs in a chair and a lot of interesting stories. I love watching your videos. Thanks for sharing. ❤

We have medic alert type buttons for our house. They are like door bell buttons that can set off an interior monitor. I have one by my bed and my husband has one by his chair. They do not call an agency or a 911 service. They are just for the inside of the house. Cole can hang one on his chair or hang it around his neck when he is outside. So glad Cole is ok!

I was worried when you moved to LA, always hoped I’d bump into you some day in Virginia. I always knew you would figure things out. The important thing is you have family that will come if and when you call. When you get married the two become one and the two of you have exemplified that bond. It’s a pleasure to witness it by way of your videos. Sophie girl will grow too. ❤❤

I had the same issue when I moved to Florida to work after graduating from university. I moved from Nova Scotia, Canada. I moved not knowing anyone except an aunt and uncle that were wintering there. I lived and worked in Largo Florida for over 3 years. The main thing I missed was being near family. I enjoyed my work experience but it felt so good to move back to Canada when I did.

I understand exactly what Charisma and Cole was saying about family. I'm a part of the disabled community and when it was time for me to be on my own I had trouble believing if I could do it. Family was all I knew and them being by myself was scary. I wanted to be on my own and I wanted to be with family but it was time to stand on my own two feet 👣 and put into practice what my family had taught me how to survive and thrive without them. And I have lived here in California all my life I was born here that's what I know but I want to experience new things in going places that I have never gone too. I still have family around, I can call them if I need them in some way shape or fashion. But I have done really well without my family being around. That's do to God's help and timing. I have family here and then I have family in different states but we do are best to stay connected. I have grown so much since I have been on my own and accomplished a lot of things that I never knew wre possible. I realy had to get myself together aftee my mom passed in 2002, I still had responsibilities to my dad that was sick as well.and I did the best I could with God's help and family my sister. I'm a self and peer advocate advocate for people with disabilities as myself. And I have always advocated for others and I don't know that I was doing exactly what I wanted to do my purpose in life. I have been through a lot in my journey having to deal with roommates and so much more. And I came out on the other side victoriously. I live on my own and I 'm happy where I am. I'm stable and I don't have to answer to anyone but God. I'm going very well and I 'm really proud of myself and especially not giving in to others that tried to count me out. I'm so happy for you guys and I know that you will be just fine. Your making a live of your own and that's a good thing. You took the risk and the challenge and you are going great. I'm telling you from experience. The best is yet to come.❤❤❤❤❤☺️☺️☺️🙏👍💪😘😘

Cole & Charisma you’ve both done extremely well, given the hurdles. Well done! And being able to talk about it, honestly, takes a lot of strength. What a lesson we all can learn…….never give up!❤️

I’m so proud of you both for taking this adventure. Life is going to provide lots of opportunities for you to be challenged. Don’t let those hiccups discourage you. My personal story was moving to another state as a single parent. There was also no family in the area. We developed a routine of safety and my child flourished from the experience. It is something I would do all over again. Continue to take care of each other. Thank you for sharing your story. You may not realized it but what you have accomplished together already has been a labor of love. I really think this is why so many of us watch your channel. Continue to grow and take care of one another. I will be here to cheer you on. ❤️

After listening to how your west coast adventure/chapter started, I admire the two of you even more! It was a lot for you to move your entire lives here, leaving your safe zone/family and friends but I felt you two must have had faith that the time was right for your next chapter to be a BIG one! I am happy California has grown on you and that it’s now everything and more than you expected. It’s true that it had probably had the two of you grow even stronger together for what’s happened and what you’ve already accomplished! Rock on you two - power is with you! Proud of you - a fellow Californian who welcomed you with wide open arms!! ❤

As long as you two are happy with your move, it doesn't matter what others think. They aren't walking in your shoes or rolling in Cole's case. Each couple has to do what is best for them. Enjoy your life there. May you be blessed with many happy, healthy years together there.

Welcome to LA Charisma and Cole! I once got a bowel infection from contaminated ice cubes during an airline flight. The infection lasted over a month. It was horrible. Sorry to hear about your inauspicious intro to LA. Am so happy that you’re part of community here. I actually feel that the LA energy level is higher because of you. Best wishes!

I am just glad everything worked out for you guys…..that’s what adulting is all about. You go out into the unknown, unfamiliar & eventually you start figuring things out, what works for you & what’s best for you and here you are in not even 2 years, you seem settled & happy……And that’s all that matters. Love you both♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️ Keep doing what you are doing👍

You 2 are a Team and youve succeeded in so many ways. I think Cole's body was just responding to the stress of movingIts always good to practice and prepare for different kinds of Emergency as you grow where youre planted on I'd like to suggest that you keep an emergency bag in your vehicle with extra cothes, toiletry, cleaning supplies in your vehicle. I was surprised to see Sophie just stood by calmly.

Hi guys, I wanted to let you know the experience I had when I moved to California a couple of years ago. I fell ill too. It's the different climate than you're use to being around. I had diarrhea for the first week until I adjusted. I had relocated from Texas definitely the different climate did it. The transitioning

Oh, I know you two will be just fine. Mishaps and mistakes, falls, accidents etc. it happen to the best of us whether disabled or not. I don’t know if anyone would be willing to admit it but bowl accidents happen to grown men more often than you think and they are not disabled. It’s “the mystery of the mistaken toot poop” or the “I thought I had time poop” so you’re not alone. But thank you so much for being so real and transparent with your struggles. And then to see that you’ve gotten through it and can laugh a-little about it; both of you are brave and strong people and pretty cool too.. thank you for sharing. Oh and congrats again on your new home.
