I believe that I am saved according to the Bible that says I can know that I have eternal life. The Roman Catholic Church I went to, as a child, must not have been reading all of the Bible. The apostles were given the authority to judge whether to forgive or not forgive (retain) sins, penitents seeking forgiveness first would have to confess their sins and express their contrition, refer to John 20:20-23. Remember Jesus says, “If you forgive…if you retain. He doesn’t say, “if God forgives… if God retains” This indicates that Jesus gives his priests discretion over forgiving and retaining sins. one last thing, your title is wrong. Roman Catholicism was founded by Jesus Christ and gave the world the Bible complete with 73 books in 397 at the Council of Carthage. Protestant bibles such as the Geneva Bible, used during the Reformation, contained 80 books as did the King James version. In 1881 the Geneva Bible deleted 14 books and in 1885 the KJV dropped the same 14 books. Now i challenge you to read Revelation 22:18-19 concerning deleting books from the bible. I almost forgot a key point, the 73 books in the Catholic Bible in 397 are the same books that are used today. No books were added or deleted in the Catholic Bible. We are not deceived! The first church was taught with tradition and scripture that scripture was the old testament since St. Paul's letters to Corinthians was referring to the old testament since the gospels of Matthew Mark Luke and John were unwritten. The authority is in his preaching which st. Paul stated. The manifestation of faith came from preaching. Jesus said it go therefore and preach all I have taught you. @@wjm5972 Every Catholics take advantage of God's mercy, they have no victory over sins, everyday they sin willfully and go to the so called man made priests for forgiveness who also don't have victory over sins, and the priests claim to forgive their sins as though they are a perfect saviour for them instead of Jesus, and they twist the word for their own profit and say they are Christian. Christians are as effective in evangelizing to Roman Catholics as God wants them to be. Five words can be as effective as 5000 when spoken to someone whom God has chosen for salvation. From a human perspective it's impossible to reason with people who have no reasoning ability where their religion is concerned. What kind of reasoning can there be in a person who claims that Catholicism is 100% Biblical when it clearly there is no Roman Catholicism in the NT at all, being a religion completely incompatible to true Christianity and hostile to it. They deny they are deceived because they have accepted the deception having been thoroughly indoctrinated to believe the lies as truth. As long as God doesn't convert them first and open their spiritually blind eyes and spiritually dead minds, they cannot change except to convert to another false religion or to atheism.

God bless all my Catholic brothers and sisters trying to explain to these Protestants true, historical, orthodox Christianity. Catholicism is 100% Biblical. By the authority Jesus gave His ONE Church, that Church canonized the 73 book Bible in the 4th century. All of Protestantism relies on that Bible (minus 7 OT books Luther removed!). Through their man made dogma of sola scriptura they privately and FALLIBLY interpret the Holy Scriptures to “fit” their 16th century, man made system of religion. Only in Catholicism will a person find the fullness and truth and beauty of Christianity. Keep on praying that these sincere, but sincerely wrong people will leave the false dogmas of PROTESTism behind and join into full communion with Jesus’s ONE, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church.

I don't believe in any denomination, every denomination is not perfect but I can say that RCC was a satanic religion where you crucify Christ everyday. @@sanatanipower2209 Perhaps not according to your understanding of the bible and you don't seem to understand what the Catholic Church teaches. The Church has always taught that Christ died once, for all time. In the Mass, we do not re-crucify Christ, but rather that once for all sacrifice is represented in an unbloody manner. Jesus no longer suffers and He was crucified once... for all. There isn't a single Catholic doctrine that goes against scripture.

Please come back home man, you are taught falsely what the true teachings of the Church are. The Church in which Jesus founded cannot be destroyed.
