No chance of selling. Roman knows that. He simply wants the PR that comes with claiming to have a sellable business worth $150MM. They are desperate for positive press in a shrinking market and amid increasing scrutiny.

why the fuck anyone want to buy a company that comes with baggage of not being able to sell certain brands? like you merge that business into yourself and you don't get out of that you just merge the obligation into yourself.

@@CrimePiece I've always wondered about this. All these Grey Market guys have such a slime-ball aesthetic. Go to an authroized Rolex dealer, and things LOOK like you're about to spend $50K plus. Workers are dressed professionally, and give a service you'd expect for spending that amount of money. In no world would I walk into Luxury Bazaars office and hand them more that twenty bucks. Because that's what it looks and feels like in there. A twenty.

I think it's hilarious. They have 9 marketing ppl, and 3 official salesmen. It's obvious where they want to invest, in the branding of the company that results in automatic sales through the website and not in sales ppl or their salaries.

The salary is the investment in sales people. Sales reps will always have a high turnover. You invest in the customers and the better sales reps will do great and the sales reps just looking for a free ride get fired.

The fact that sales staff have to create their own leads tells you the value of the company. Wouldn't a valuable company be generating its own business because people loved the brand?
@CrimePiece5 ай бұрын
great point Chris.

Most sales jobs the sales reps generate 90 percent of their own leads. That’s one of the reasons you hire sales reps. Maybe if your selling furniture at a store you just stand there until someone walks in. But phone sales you get your own leads when selling things like watches and jewelry and b2b services

Wouldn't buy from them anyway. A friend of mine called them for an OP41. They just blew him off. Then when he called back to complain they got shitty. You better walk in looking for a $40K piece or this Grey market dealer will treat you like an AD treats it's customers. .

Surviving this comes down to 3 things: 1) DEBT: how much debt is on the business AND Roman’s personal residence? Debt must be paid when business is bad PLUS interest rates have skyrocketed back to normal. 2) REAL ESTATE OVERHEAD: what’s the monthly cost of that huge facility? Look how small CRM looks for sq footage. 3)INVENTORY VALUE: what’s the book value of that inventory. Is he underwater a ton?
@lasskinn4745 ай бұрын
yes. the running overheads and the financing overhead, if he was stupid and bought stuff on debt. couple with inventory value going down. 1 + 3.

The jewelry part of LB isn't owned by Shart, that belongs to Gary, Alex, and others. He also doesn't include the company's value in his net worth for some reason. It has been published that the profit for LB is around 8.4 million a year on 150 million in sales. A vast majority of the retail sales are blowout luxury goods like the fake RayBans.

Nothing worse than working in an exploitative environment and how unfair that even with so many laws such injustices still occur. The environment is stressful and toxic, and the pay for salespeople is low at only $2,000 a month plus 8% commission on profits. In addition, the lack of leads makes the job even more difficult. Thank you Amigo for speaking out and telling the truth, maybe more workers with the same conditions will be encouraged to speak up and fight for better working conditions as well as better pay.

No one will purchase LB. If any company purchases anything g from them is their stock. Their name is worth zero at this moment. Goodwill ( the name that’s been built up over years and years of success ) is the only value they dream of selling but unfortunately for them their goodwill is worth zero.
@lettuce13055 ай бұрын
yup their goodwill is zero, LB brand might have some weight 10-12 years ago but these days there are too many secondary grey dealers offering the same things, there's nothing in there including the youtube channel where other people can't do. Roman would only be able to liquidate the stock at bargain basement prices, that's all.

Yes, it is what TPG did.... He would take all the lucrative leads.. and leave nothing or low quality leads for the sales staff. In other words, there is a ceiling that is hard to break through.. not even the odd bone is thrown. The salesperson are given spills - and also to squeeze every last dollar out of a transaction. It is a boiler room - selling products that are badly checked... sourced from dubious sources. Two of course that come to mind are the Wizard.. and TPG... how wee these guys vouched for .. and allowed into forums for watch dealers.. how were their misdeeds ignored despite all the red flags. So many scams... fake Raybans.. dodgy consignments.. and a litany of quotas that young impressionable and desperate salespeople are treated as useful idiots.. with mind numbing hours and just hopelessness.
