To be honest, stealing phones or other electronics could have passwords on them, unless they magically guess the pass, they won’t get in. But it makes me sad that people steal other peoples hard earned items, maybe the stuff could be for a family member or a loved one.

Easy peasy to get the pass cracked lol. It's called "unlocking" a phone in phone repair shops in Romania, it costs like £20. But i'm pretty sue you can do it yourself if you do some research

Terrible! The last time I was in London was 2003. There were pickpockets, but not the large amount of Romanian pickpockets. I never went during tourist season. I wore a thick strap crossbody with a zipper and always kept my hand resting on it. No underground maps. I would research my route in the hotel. I kept a little tiny note with directions just in case I needed to sneak a peak. I tried to do nothing to indicate I was a tourist. Rode the underground with no trouble.

You're amazing. Fantastic story not. You do realise 30 million people visit London each year. The amount of people getting pick pocketed is miniscule in comparison to the vast numbers visiting. You're not anything special buddy.
