First of all, happy cake day -- hope you'll have a great time, and year ahead. 2nd, don't know if you ever heard this, but my Mom always asked to caress her cheeks upwards (to prevent sagging, basically), which we always grinned at when I was a kid. Turns out, decades later, that I happen to see this touted everywhere now. When applying anything to our faces, we should either do it in upwards motions, or at least gently pressing it in. And since, I can't help but notice everyone not doing that, and wanting to tell them ... do w/ the info what you like ofc. The P Ta powder side of the blush is gorgeous (well, both look super on you). And blush in general does amazing things w/ your face! How fun it must be to be able to apply it so generously, and on such a large area, yet still have it look so great. I can only apply it kinda on my actual cheekbones, and slightly below + a teeny bit upwards the temples (small face, I guess? And hollow lower cheeks). Lashes look very natural too, would never have guessed you had added false ones. You look beautiful. (Btw, I'm a VERY pronounced cat person, and only genuinely like the odd dog here & there; usually lrager ones -- but yours turned out to be one of them. Thanks for including him.)

I’ve heard that about face products before! I find with foundation it doesn’t make sense because it goes against the direction of the little tiny face hairs and then creates texture. Does it work for you for foundation? Glad you like Toast despite being a cat person 🐶💕

I think it could be so cool if you did more combo looks but like, rotating through the different sub-combinations that are possible within your blend. Like, what's an oneiric/natural look? It might be a way to explore different ways you can bring the essences into one look all together by learning what works for any given pair of them, and it'd be really interesting to watch!

​@@evangelinemolly Thank you! (I'm a writer when I'm not chasing after my baby daughter.) The way I see it with the yang essences, Dramatic is big sharp edges with few or no smaller lines to break them up, Gamine is small sharp edges with staccato breaks, and Natural is large beveled edges. All three of these essences advance more than they recede. Hence, horsepower.
