So glad you found the watercolor guy. I loved the Forum picture. My sister got the touching fingers when we were there. I think she got hers from one of the little tourist shops. Not at the Vatican. I got a watercolor from a street artist, too.

Beautiful vlog. Rome looks so nice from your eyes. It made me really laugh about Italian man being so friendly. I remember that, and it was nice to know nothing changed.

Excellent vlog! I haven’t been there in years, but it looks the same. I hope you enjoyed Sicily. That’s where all my ancestry is from.😊

I have been to Italy twice but it was a long time ago and it's very enjoyable to see this vlog and to reminisce.

You are reminding me of when I was in Venice on a bus going down the canal in the middle of the commuter traffic, and it was very crowded. I remember being pinched on my fanny...

If you do a dedicated Pantheon vid, I'm curious to know its history and who Agrippa was ("Agrippa....tertium fecit" on the frieze). Btw, many years ago when I lived in Spain as a teenager I used to cross the street in a zig-zag just to avoid men and their cat-calling. My worst experience was on a packed bus--an old lady put herself between me and a guy to stop his "encroachment" on me!😰

Marcus Agrippa was a general who served under Caesar Augustus. After the victory at Actium in 31 BCE, he was engaged in a building program in Rome. One of the buildings was the Pantheon. The inscription on the building reads M[arcus] Agrippa L[ucii] f[ilius] co[n]s[ul] tertium fecit," meaning "Marcus Agrippa, son of Lucius, made [this building] when consul for the third time. I believe that the Pantheon had to be rebuilt a second time. And around 600 CE, it became a Church, which accounts for its excellent condition.

Watch Domina, it's a brilliant show that covers the reign of Augustus and Agrippa is a prominent character in the show
