Before he was known as Metta World Peace, he was making big plays for the LA Lakers. Especially in the final game of the 2010 NBA Finals. Ron Artest came up huge with timely steals to keep the Lakers within striking distance, and eventually one of the clutchest shots in his career. He finished the game with 20 Points, 5 rebounds, and 5 steals.

That’s the 2nd or 3rd most steals in a finals game. The record is Robert Horry with 7.

This series was the last great dogfight series. Both teams were spent, it came down to heart and a great redemption story for Artest. That 3 changed his legacy.

Ron Ron! So glad you did this vid. Artest's most clutch game of his career. People say Pau Gasol "saved" Kobe's legacy with his performance in this game, but Artest was just as good! Played a game high 46 mins, lockdown defense on Paul Pierce (same in game #6 too). 20 pts, including 6 in the last 6 mins of the 4th quarter. 5 reb. 5 steals? FIVE STEALS? ...Amazing game, amazing player. Whether you like him or not, there was some justice by the basketball gods for Ron Ron in this game.

I know this is an MWP/Ron Artest Video but 5:47 really shows how smart Lamar was on the court. High basketball IQ. He made sure not to foul Rondo up 4 and used length to disrupt the shot, then having the presence of mind to toss the ball to the other side of the court ala Magic Vs Portland. These are winning basketball plays. Lamar and Ron didn’t get the attention but they were instrumental in winning this game.

If Boston won before they were stacked that just proves they were superteam so what the hell are you talking about you? If you are throwing shots at lebron be real about it because what you said rn made no sense. Plus didn’t Lakers have a superteam when they added Dwight and nash to there team? It was a failed superteam but a superteam regardless.

Now all of a sudden hes the reason they won lmao. Its a team sport everybody played a role but without Kobe there is no NBA finals for any of them.
