"Mr. Magic" is one of my favorite R&B jazz songs, which was originally recorded by Grover Washington Jr. and his band. I love the song's melody and interesting chord progression. I use plucking/slapping for the first half of the song, and then switch over to two handed tapping for the second half. I hope you enjoy my arrangement!
For this solo bass cover I’m playing the WHOLE song on bass - the bass parts, horn parts, keyboard parts, and guitar parts, are all played on bass simultaneously. No overdubs, looping, or backing tracks.
