What a wonderful interview. I am not American, but am often moved by the stories of great men and patriots, and this was no exception.

Excellent interview. As an Australian and Civil War 'buff' I enjoyed the great insights into both Chamberlain and Lincoln.

I wish the Army would name a base for Chamberlain. I've read Trulock's bio and I've visited Chamberlain's home in Maine.

Chamberlain while in heat of battle, came up with the strategy to swing down on the enemy. It was a bold courageous move. So respect the Civil War soldiers in blue.

I'm thrilled to learn A.L. wrote untitled notes on a scrap of paper & saved them; makes me feel wo derful I'm not so careless with my thoughts; the notes are the nuggets of thought.

I was not familiar with Ronald White previously so this interview is a welcome one. I did not care for the interviewer, however; please let the person being interviewed be the main focus and stop interjecting your own experiences and views.

I love Eric Metaxis. I've heard that historical biographers particularly, like to be interviewed by him because of his extensive knowledge, not to mention his extreme success as a biographer. His witty humor is so quirky & I think also, evidence of his high intellect. Dr. White is a DELIGHT!!!❤

@@patrick3016if Metaxas ever recovered from his sense of himself as a "personality," let alone as a great wit, he would be much easier to bear.

Did you not read the description of this program set forth below the video? It is described as a dialogue and conversation between the guest and Eric.

@@MyJesusLovesAndSaves It just seems to be the point of these discussions is to claim the US was founded as a christian nation. Thats not true. It has never been a christian nation. It was not founded on judeochristian principles.

I think of Socrates In The City as a salon, a gathering of writers or other distinguished guests and the exchanging of ideas between the guest and Eric.
