He was too much of a quick and original thinker for his teammates a lot of time.Him and Romario had perfect chemistry...shame they were not closer in age and able to play many more games together. yes. he said in an interview that after he got injured in the head back when he played for psg he promised his mom he was going to try and avoid using that trait but you can see in all his header goals that he's really good at that too. I believe he started doing that more often in his last years in football just to increase his stats since people thought he couldnt do it.

He was a fantastic passer but that wasn't his main job, that's why he isn't remembered for it. In his whole career he got only around 90 assists while scoring almost 400 goals. I mean, 90 assists for a striker is solid, but nothing extraordinary. Awesome video by the way!

Assist stats weren't tracked as rigorously back in his time as they are now. He has 30+ assists for Brazil alone and definitely over a 100 in total. Not that the exact count matters, as he could do anything he wanted!
