disagree. graduations on the oil pressure gauge appeared to be 0-20-40-60-80-100, whatever they were the needle on the gauge was pegged for the entire race just above the 40 mark. i kept my eyes glued to to oil pressure gauge thru the whole thing, it did not appear to move regardless of engine rpm, i thought it must be stuck or broken. although you didn't mention it, forget the tack light, you could tell from the motors sound it was never stressed. however the owner says it's a stroked small block 427 and revved to often beyond what was good for it. so, just wore out?

@puttervids47211 күн бұрын
Definitely oil starvation. If they keep oiling those engines just don’t break. My guess is it’s a small pan , and the repeated rpm sucked all oil up. Won’t drain back fast enough under cornering to get back to the sump. If it’s dry sump - probably not running enough oil. Oil light was on most of the run. Oil gauge on right was jumping. And laid down 10psi or more right before it let go.
