Bro I got to give it to you! You kept it real!. Not none of your dialogue is fluff I can totally relate! I got a story for ya. Back in the end of Feb early March. I was there for eight days and the independence day. Me and my flaquita was shopping at Jumbo in the Agora mall. We were picking out veggies. This fine specimen barged herself between us. I told the woman, Hey don't you see my flaquita picking veggies? (Mind you I speak fluent Spanish, I got to brush up on the Dominican dialects/slang). That girl was a little rude but I could tell she was impressed. My flaquita said it was alright. I said No it is not, I'm not gonna let nobody disrespect or walk over you! (loud enough where that other chica heard me). Needless to say, I'll be back in October, for my birthday week!

Approaching 3 years in Boca Chica. What I find about the women here is that they will try to convince you that it is their culture that men take care of them and pay their bills. This is not ture, there are some, but the majority of men are not even in the position to do that; this is something that they tell foreigners. If you dealing with a women, of course you will put some money in her hands, but it remains her responsibility to pay her own bills, how every she was paying her bills when you met her. Don't get sucked in. If you do, you will find yourself buying appliances, TVs, air conditioners, etc. Decide what you are going to give her on a weekly or monthly basis; regarding of what emergency she has, stick to that amount. Not all of the time, but often the emergency is a lie.

DR immigration does not check for a return ticket upon landing. You can also opt to do just an arrival eticket...I always buy 2 one way tickets to minimize any change fees.
