Notice how he doesn't entirely dismiss nor defend it, a critical thinker, seems like the kind of man you could talk about a great many things with. We need more like him. R.I.P, one of the best singers ever.

Dio did not pretend a god is real. In fact he has said he doesn't find the god idea compelling. This small clip he is discussing metaphorically. He was not into spiritualism or anything religious. He was not a deist. He spoke against religion often. I agree with Dio, the god idea is not compelling in the least. When you start talking about a magic baby and resurrection, it becomes crazy, insane. Dio understood the power of stories, but wasn't crazy.

@thomastucker5686 right now he has a realistic understanding. I wish I could give him just a drop of water.

I have friends who were close to Ronnie but I only ever met him onstage twice. I've held him up as a standard in my life but only as a vocalist/musician, but in striving to conduct myself with class and an eloquent manner. That is, he's in the side of my better angels. But most of the time my other more obnoxious influences shine through- on one shoulder is Ronnie, on the other are heels like Roddy Piper and Vince Neil
