Ever think of using a power wash on that chimney ? That should easily take that Flex Shield off, and test for leaks, lol​@@kev-reviews

I bet a wire brush, or a wire wheel on a drill would make quick work of that flex seal

Glad you got it worked out. Bad companies ( yes! I said it.) Will take advantage of people if they can. My daughter needed some electric work got quoted 7 grand. I talked with a friend and he's doing it for 3. He said half the stuff in the other guys quote was bullshit.

its leaking, if you see underlayment, you are leaking. that water has to go somewhere. there is no top pan on that chimney is why you see underlayment, that counter flashing is useless without a pan under it. also, the corners are wrapped wrong, you shouldn't be able to see any light. you 100 % need reflashes and the Ridge vent taken off. that roofing company shouldn't be flashing chimneys!
