Thanks for watching this video guys! Really an exciting moment to use a RTT for the first time. At the time of writing this comment, I've already used this RTT for about 15-20 times over the span of 6 months, and I've got LOTS TO SHARE WITH YOU! Here's a video of my thoughts and honest review of the RTT kzbin.info/www/bejne/m3WoimRnfLx7q68

bungie cord around the tent with a bit of tension on will pull the tent sides in when you fold it up hay presto no tucking in or very little and zipped up in no time nice if its monsooning it down like it seems to do there even on the toyota tent

That is a nice 2 nights episode with the roof top tent, putting it thru the test of strong wind and down pour. The set up looks easy, just the packing need some practices perhaps. And, you remember the dog treat this time, haha. The camp site is nice, is there any mosquitos issue? Btw I cant help but have to share with you that the 20:09 lovely morning secene outside the windows might get you a S rating. LOL. Thank you again Jun for another nice camping episode.
@JunOutdoors2 жыл бұрын
Yes definitely need practice with this new tent... needs abit of getting used to but so far I love it! The campsite ticks all the boxes for a nice camping experience. Mosquitoes - minimal to none, but at dusk there may be some if you camp further from the river and near the bushes. Alamak I didn't notice that scene laaa... Your eyes are so sharp!

I saw hard case rooftops tent used rubber/elastic band hooked (carabiner) to tent wall to help pull/tuck the tent fabric inside while stowing it. Maybe it helps in your case too.

You have pointed out an important component of roof top tents! Yes indeed carabiners will be helpful. And this soft shell RTT has a set of 4 carabiners (which I forgot to show in this video)

Hi Jun. Great videos you post to encourage people to get out of the house. Planning start more camping post retirement. On another note, what your take after using the roof top tent vs ground tent? Maybe a video on that comparison? Keep up the great entertainment for us who are not there yet. Cheers.

Hi Jun!! I'm so happy for your new rooftent and your tent-evolution XD! Just want to let you know that you are my inspiration (even i'm already married and not valid for solo camping.. haha) but I learned so many things from your video! While most of youtubers focusing on "glamping" style, but you are not, you started with very basic stuffs and still can enjoy the nature! I started my camping journey because of you too!! Hope that 1 day, me and my spouse are able to buy big/suv car and able to sleep in roof top tent!

Hello uncle! Thanks for your interesting comment! Yes the new toy is awesome...and yes the packing part needs abit of getting used to. But for the comfort and security it provides, I think it's worth it, quite honestly. Alamak that scene, I didn't notice it until few people pointed it out. You guys are so observant lah! The kopi looks kaw? Hmm...cannot help it. Looks like I have progressed to terminal stage coffee addict. Sigh

Hey Jun! Is it possible to clean the car roof and polish it properly from time to time, with the rtt on?
@JunOutdoors Жыл бұрын
Hey! Usually there is a 5 to 10cm gap between the roof and the tent - that's where the roof rack or cross bars sit. Cleaning is possible, but proper polishing might not be!

Hi there. Roof top tents are usually mounted on a roof rack or crossbars on the car roof. It's not permanent, but most people just keep it on their cars all the time because its not easy to remove it yourself. Price varies depending on brand, type and size. Ranging from rm3k up to 15k!
