Roofing story 2 when you think you know everything

In the Sydney Roof repair game, there are lots of things to learn.
And just as you think you know everything, you get BLINDSIGHTED by something completely unexpected.
This is the lesson learn from our roofing story # 2.
The method to become successful in a roof repair business is to gather a lot of data and use this to help us easily solve roof problems. This is called using CORRELATION.
There will be times when this strategy fails.
And this will be when we have to spend a lot more resources to get to the roof of the problem. The CAUSE.
This is called investigating the CAUSATION.
We learnt heaps from this story.

You are very patient man. You try and do the right thing by the client and find the simple cheap solutions first, clients don't always realise this. At times when you're looking old at an old tired roof that really needs replacing/redoing you still try and find the cheap solutions for the client with your fingers crossed. You can sort of do yourself a dis-service cause they think you're incompetent or something when the leak keeps coming back. Some people would just quote on a re-roof and be done with that in one fell swoop. Like your content.
