Not fair testing. The broken ladders were being stumped at the weakest point. Xtend & Climb is a 15.5 ft ladder, meaning a longer and heavier one comparing to previously testing ones. So the diameter of the tube is bigger and stronger. However three rungs were put atop of the wall, leaving stronger part of the ladder for testing, and tester didn’t stumped on this ladder. But made a conclusion it’s better. I’m not fully persuaded.

Great information Dmitry! Your videos are so informative. I am learning to do videos for the plumbing industry. I really enjoyed meeting you in Los Angeles! Thanks for all that you do!

Thanks for the video, I was curious to see how these ladders would handle the weight being placed horizontally

A) Amazingly deceptive as the angle of these is done in a way that would surely void the warranty. B) When you bounce on something the additional force from velocity exerts way more pressure than standing still. It's why you swing a hammer instead of just push down on a nail with it.

I bought that ladder based on your last video on these, My brother loves it! feels like he's saving all sorts of money not driving his truck around all day giving bids and looking at roofs.

These look like a dream for us, we install photovoltaic systems, and while this would not be our primary ladder, it seems to be just what we need for quick inspections or to use in tight spaces where our 20ft ultra heavy ladder is not an option, but we were uneasy to buy any of this type of ladders, due to safety concerns, the lack of reliable info on the web, probably your video is the only trustworthy we have found. We might just pull the trigger on a Xtend+Climb Contractor series (which we understand is the most durable).

Bought the winning ladder on your recommendation and within 1 week the 2 top rungs aren’t collapsing..any ideas?..I’ll let you know how the return ect goes..Been licensed since 1985..Enjoy watching Roofing blogs..a Tricks of the Trade topic would be interesting.

Problem resolved..A lady at xtend told me to fully extend the ladder and drop from 5 or 6 inches and it should realign, it did..

@@dq1043 I recently had one not collapse on one side. I hit it with a hammer and it works. I seem to think maybe a Little Rock got in between the tubes. May be wrong though.

The worst ladder on the market to operate. As a home inspector this ladder may take 10-minutes to close and, you will be exhausted by the time you get it closed. (This is the truth)

Sorry you testing lateral force on ladder ? They are ladders not bridges this is like taking a car to a boat race lol you prove the obvious the most expensive ones as most likely the ticker ones hence why they don’t break as easy

Very biased and not realistic testing. If you are all about safety then you would know that the Telesteps is the ONLY OSHA compliant ladder. Stop with the propaganda and do real testing.

Lol, telesteps is not ONLY oSHA compliant ladder. Talking about propaganda ...
