Here we are with the Terry Bogard Ultimate Starter Guide! Covering everything you need to know about the character from the basics to advanced concepts and everything inbetween. Yes this video is a long one but for your ease of use we got timestamps so just skip forward to whatever makes sense for you(how about a like for timestamps?). Terry Bogard is a solid all-rounder that can do everything SF6 asks of you, maybe not overwhelming in any one category but he can do it all! Give a watch and begin your journey of Bogardification

hooo boy this is a long one and it took a long time to make. From the 24th to today it feels like everything happened in one blink yet ive barely slept last few days with how much ive had to do. So hope you've enjoyed the last few days on the channel and as a fun bonus thanks to the City of the Wolves x Street Fighter announcement, we got another SF6 pair of guides coming for combos/character and thats for Chun-Li! She's perhaps the most advanced character in the game besides dhalsim so in honour of the crossover announcement ill do up some guides for her. No exact timeframe but prob in 2 weeks maybe less.

You can go for pseudo safejumps when you hit enemy into the corner with KD+33 (like with od burn knuckle) at least i noticed it was really good with ken, gotta play terry more to see if it is practical to go for.

Thank you for the video! I learned a few things. What do you think about meaty Round Wave on wake up in the corner? I was getting a lot of crazy plus numbers on block and hit
@rooflemongerАй бұрын
on paper its really good but the problem is it has such windup that you are committed to the enemy can basically reversal it on sight as long as they are mildly on the ball. I think you can scam with it every now and then but you can't make it a part of the main offense or you gonna get bopped

Terry feels awkwardly cool to control but that's just in character for him
@dontworryaboutit9149Ай бұрын
I’ve never struggled so much learning a character, I’ve mastered almost everyone in this game but for some reason I just can’t get Terry right, like sure I can do his combos and know what his attacks do but I just feel like he has no range im just playing so vulnerable with him, it’s like every button I click is just gonna get punished and idk maybe I’m just playing him wrong but I love fatal fury and have loved terry since kof, but idk if I could play him atp
@KiraSupportrRhapsodyАй бұрын
I might be arrogant here but is this guy a secret high level top player in the fgc? Cause he seems to know how to play EVERY Fighting game out there 😂 I don't know, when I want a guide I want someone who knows the game on a top tier level so it's more concrete.
@somethingcool9979Ай бұрын
Top tier players often suck at teaching outside of general advice. I know for a fact he is an above average player probably diamond level, but he is VERY gifted at teaching. It’s also a lot of experience frame data concepts are universal across fighting games.

Why don't you cover anything about Dragon Ball sparking zero? That game is about to be colossal. Plus, it is probably the only 3d arena fighting game that you can actually call a fighter. It's a shame we, as fgc, don't appreciate some other parts of the fgc.
@rooflemongerАй бұрын
Its an arena fighter not a traditional fighter, they aren't attempting anything at what could possibly be balanced, and it will have the same garbage unplayable delay based netcode all arena fighters do. There's nothing in it for me to be fully honest.

Just check the conclusion, I don't think burn knuckle is a great tool if you want to shut your brain down, because this skill need great spacing Crack shoot fit that spot better, but this move is always negative
@rooflemongerАй бұрын
it takes zero skill to space burn knuckle correctly lol, you can be incredibly sloppy with it.
@computervision557Ай бұрын
@@rooflemonger I checked the game play of a lot of players better than me, Naruo, Mago, Punk, Chris Wong, Momochi, bigbird, xiaohai etc None of them can earn plus frame by bk, especially the medium one consistently You could use fireball setup to make the heavy bk plus on block, but this setup is so obvious for well prepare player. This kind of gimmick is good for rank, but I don't think they can survive in big tournaments

Kind of bummed about terry. He is not very good. Mid tier at best. He is very execution heavy.

Terry is very solid, much better than mid tier. He has a few execution tricks but he's absolutely not "execution heavy" Whats demanded from him in sf6 is like a 3/10 in terms of actual execution
