Holding the button to fly after normals is really useful it's anti-push block tech.

interesting way to take it, but you could still do the same just by canceling into it after a pushblock.

Thanks for this video, I'm a fresh MvC player and I'm struggling quite a lot with this game, mainly anything to do with the Air is a complete mental block between my mind and my hands. I can staircase once in every 30 attempts and trying to instant overhead just doesn't feel possible for me. I feel like it's a ps4 controller limitation, having both movement and dashing (L2) on my left hand is making my right hand forget to attack afterward. Especially with staircases since it's HP into 2 presses of L2 and then back to the face buttons of the controller. Hopefully it won't feel so alien forever.

Its really not too bad on pad! However for staircase combos on pad I find you really must rebind your buttons, I used r1 in the staircase video to show it off. I find r1 the most natural button for it.

What does that word photer, or however you spell it mean?

Photon is a type of particle/molecule I know that much. So I assume photon absorber just means shes absorbing all kinetic energy which makes sense since it gives her armour.
