Great videos so far. I'm watching them all from the oldest to the newest. This section perhaps needs more explanation of what duct static pressure is and when economizer mode should be used.

Thanks for the suggestion. We'll be sure to cover these topics in future videos.

On the smaller systems with just a supply fan, is there a return vent or something? How does the air go out?

There are several strategies for relieving building pressure. Here are the most common methods, 1) Barometric relief dampers, 2) Powered Exhaust Fans, 3) Relief Air Dampers with Economizer Functionality, 4) Modulating Relief Dampers, 5) Building Pressure Sensors and Control, 6) Natural Relief.

What’s the difference between auxiliary electric heat and back up electric heat on a ASHP RTU?
@MEPAcademy11 ай бұрын
In area's where the outside temperatures get really cold, the use of a backup heater can supplement the limited capacity of the unit.

Why go 100% outside air, isnt that inefficient?
@MEPAcademy6 ай бұрын
There are times when the outdoor air can satisfy the load without running the compressor, that's why economizers are mandated by energy codes. See our other video on Air Economizers for a better explanation. kzbin.info/www/bejne/aIamnoGpbdZ6eM0
